before audio downloads, if you were a regular bros, your only option for music was tapes from DJs, tapes dubbed from radio station, or tapes dubbed from connecting your tape deck to the video audio output.

back then i had a massive tape collection - but since i was buying basic tapes sony [who dash me high end maxell] as you dey play quality dey drop over time.

when i started working in lagos proper - i found that you could buy CDs direct from alaba for n100. so every other weekend i would go to alaba to buy cds for my collection. then one day i realized i had most of my music in mp3s, most of teh devoces at home supported usb purts and i had no use for dvd or cd players. and i got a ghana must go and gave them all out.

And for those wey no get proper walkman, na to dey use bic biro rewind and fast forward tapes.

Doesn't get better than that. lol

back in school, one weekend my guys crashed in my place. we watched the lost world jurassic park. a cinema dub. we all agreed the movie was shit and a complete waste of time. then a year later one uncle in yankee sent me a clear copy. i actually got one of my guys to come around and rewatch the movie. the guy was like - what - that shit movie. at the end of the movie he looked at me. "comp video club is fuuucked! "

and that was the last time i ever watched a cinema dub

All these things will just set that state on fire in the long run. I will never understand how things got this bad in this country. Government officials and agencies will do something almost everybody thinks is illegal, the next thing they go to court to make the illegality legal based on technicalities.

How does one declare a winner in an election without any figures/workings to show for it ? Then those favored by such illegality have gone to court and the court is literally siding with them . Even if the results are finally collated and Binani declared winner at this point , she will face serious insurmountable challenges while ruling the people due to INEC’s shiiit show. Just look at Imo state today.

One of the worst things that can happen to u as a teenager is if u and ur siblings contribute money borrow VHS cassette from a video club while ur parents are away and NEPA takes light . That period was not now when almost everyone has a generator set at home , only Vera few people in the upper upper middle class had that privilege.

So once NEPA refuse to bring light and u want to return the cassette before ur parents come, u need to exhibit the technician in u and dismantle the VHS player just to retrieve the case the inside before dem mumsy and popsy show.

I have elder two sisters and they were tech sis(by that period standard) cos the way dem dey handle screw driver ehn, even some men go fear . They will dismantle the VHS player , retrieve the cassette and couple the player back just in time before our parents show face . I miss those good old days .

Sadly the Federal High Court is right on this one, INEC cannot invalidate or void an Election that has been officially declared by its own officials. Similar to what Mahmud Yakubu did in declaring Tinubu President-Elect, even when other parties raised issue of him not meeting the requirement to be declared winner. The REC took a leaf of Yakubu's play book, and now only the courts starting with Election Tribunal can upturn Binani's fraudulent victory. I wanted her to win, but INEC has messed up this Electoral process so bad. Also she will become a puppet and controlled by the powerful politicians that are behind this fraud and allegedly paid the REC ₦2bn to get that declaration.

Please if need be,. Let's leave politics now even if it's for one week let's at least enjoy this unionism while it lasts..
