Have you watched 12 angry men? The movie was made in 1957 so I don’t know if it’s still the same way or it has changed.

I have never really been a fan of the jury system in the US because I think members of the jury are susceptible to manipulation from a very good defence team. There's also the emotional angle. Most of these people throw objectivity out of the window in cases such as a man raping/killing a 12year old. The man will most likely lose the case as people like that are pre-judged and not given a fair hearing in the truest sense.

We have seen senior lawyers argue for or against this 25% FCT votes, a former chief Justice of the federation Michael Aondoakaa recently said the Supreme Court has ruled on that controversial matter in 2008.

But Shey NBC no go sanction NTA for covering Binani’s illegal acceptance speech live ? Abi NTA cannot be sanctioned like AriseTV, Channels TV, AIT and other private stations that have been sanctioned in the past for allowing their platform to be used to propagate messages that can breach public peace ?

My error, i wanted to type minister of Justice. Reason why i didn't even debate the legality of that declaration cos everybody will say him own to favour his side. Even Ozekhome too faulted the declaration based on this 25% ish..

I watched Aondoakaa’s interview. I have not read/watched Ozekhome’s.

Honestly that issue is straight forward in my opinion. It is a matter of simple English and there is no way the constitution will give veto powers to the residents of Abuja.

People are not even realising the real problem with that portion of the constitution. There is a potential repeat of the 1979 Twelve Two-Thirds saga if someone wins 25% in 24 states but less than that in 12 states and Abuja.
We will have a repeat of 1979 but this time around it would be TWENTY-FOUR TWO-THIRDS.

Nigerian lawyers are always wording the laws in order to provide food on the table in the future.
