The so-called brics is a group of shadow governments run by Russian and Chinese agents. If you make the error of benchmarking your economy on that, you will become another Venezuela in the next 12months.

Turkey are not lobbying for F35 program, Turkey were part of the F35 program but sought the Russian Air defense System despite warnings of expulsion by the US, they purchased Russian S400 Missiles System and are in collaboration with Russia for the S500 Systems.
They've filed application to join the SCO and have been placed as Observer State until they are not longer NATO members. Nough said.

I think Nigeria should really consider getting a nuclear power plant if it can be maintained and properly secured. Not for weapons or anything, so it can be observed by international bodies if questions arise.

Also there should be a military base situated near it to prevent insurgents from attacking the facility.

I feel it's the only viable solution to the electricity challenges we have. We need something more powerful than hydroelectricity and gas. We can't develop properly if power supply still remains a challenge.

🇹🇷 Türkiye's President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that the first unit of Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, Turkey's first ever Nuclear Power Plant is being constructed by Russia's state-owned Rosatom and will be completed by May 2023.

A total of 3,000 Russian engineers are working to complete the ⚛️ power plant.

Workers have lifted into place the fourth tier of the internal steel containment building shell at the Akkuyu-2 nuclear power station in Turkey, Russian state-owned nuclear power corporation Rosatom announced.

Rosatom said the component weighs about 140 tonnes and is eight metres high.

The next stage of construction will include the welding together of the third and fourth tiers.

The containment building shell will consist of 12 tiers when complete and will subsequently be covered in concrete and tested for hermetic tightness.

🇷🇺 Rosatom also said its subsidiary Atommash has manufactured and shipped the pressuriser for Akkuyu-2. The pressuriser is one of the largest components in a pressurised water reactor system. It maintains constant high pressure of 24.7 megapascals (Mpa) in the coolant loop to avoid water from boiling.

In September 2022, the reactor pressure vessel was installed at Akkuyu-2.

The $20bn (€18.2bn) Akkuyu, the first commercial nuclear power station in Turkey, is being built, owned and operated by 🇷🇺 Russia's Rosatom subsidiaries under a contract signed in 2010.

The station will have four Generation III+ VVER-1200 units, with the first expected to come online in 2023 and a further unit starting every year afterwards.
