In a working democracy this will be a good deal for citizens as it will provide an opposing voice in case of Executive misstep but the antecedents of our politicians will likely make such powers simply bargaining chips for personal gain. Heads or tails, co-operation or confrontation citizens have always picked the short straw.

The elections continue to show themselves as the most transparent in recent times. Of course, hypocrite opposition will not claim this one is rigged as they are the majority.
Anyway, if the Nigerian system remains the nigerian system, most of the opposition will defect to the ruling party.

They are there for their own pockets. Nothing more, if they like the should not pass any bill. It doesn't affect the presidency. They will only deprived the masses of their rights to social developments in the country.

This article is a waste of time. APC still has majority among the parties. Opposition parties are not one party. Some will work with APC, some with PDP. It is all about interest. This is much ado about nothing.
