They have not had airport all this while because it's going to be useless.

People will rather take a cab to Lagos and fly from Lagos where it's much cheaper.

Flying from Lagos can save you 50k because airlines know their planes will be filled in Lagos.

Bro, it's not about saving cost.
The truth is that lack of viability of the airport .due to low traffic

Anambra, Asaba,Enugu, Owerri and PH are within Igbo spaces yet these airports are running.... soon ebonyi will join the party.

Nobody hears about bayelsa airport again because there's no air traffic in the state

The insecurity of roads in the south east due to activities of kidnappers and Unknown gunmen increased air traffic in that region. Nothing more.
I know the sensible ones among them will agree with me.

I wonder why insecurity hasn't increased air traffic in States like Kaduna, Benue, plateau, zamfara.

Oga air traffic simply boils down to economic strength and purchasing power

This a false information.

All the Eastern transportation companies are mainly targeted at travelers going to west and Northern parts of Nigeria.

Most Westerns hardly ever travel outside their own region, hence a transportation company from west will not survive the test of time, just like the Ondo state transportation company.

This Another propaganda,
The truth is that those Ibo discovered something their contemporaries didn't see in service sector of transportation and logistics.
They invested heavily in it

here in Cameroon, Igbos are at the forefront of transborder road transportation with nice lovely buses across Central African countries and same thing is West Africa subregion like Benin, Togo, Ghana and Senegal....I know these because I have toured these areas.

Many of their buses here that travel to Gabon, central Africa republic, Congo are AC tight and brand new.

There's no much flight here, so their road buses are filling the gaps.

Some of the long distance bus has TVs too and their bus terminal looks like mini airport with cargo services

Very true, my in-law travelled bact to Nigeria from Senegal last month by road with GUO or so. Ndi Igbo have gone far, it will be almost impossible to catch up with them.

Complaining about low patronage or loss profit?

I travel on that train recently on 4 occasions and I can tell you the train is always filled up. Stop relying on rumours.

Your point is rubbish.
Let those trains increase their fares to generate profit, and you will see all those passengers disappear.

Businesses exist to generate profit.

The simple fact is that easterners are better business people and have what it takes to run the Nigerian transportation sector profitably.
The SW and their Fulani allies are running Nigeria aground.

Train travel should be cheap, as cheap as road transport
Considering that the trains in Nigeria are really slow

It's a miscalculation to use diesel to transport passengers when you can use electricity as a little higher capital cost
Re: Proximity Of Ibadan Airport To Lagos Airport And Owerri Airport To Port Harcourt by fr3do(m): 6:10am On Apr 24, 2023
cargo, passenger trains to and fro Lagos, Onitsha
will be so lucrative that the operators will be swimming in profit

But Nigeria

Even Land transportation you hardly see any Yoruba transportation company or morden park outside Yoruba land, they always use old mini vehicles, their park in Onitsha, they rented shop all the buses going to Ondo, Ekiti, Oyo etc use the same small space no comfort unlike the ones own by easterners, Ondo transport company was trying during Mimiko not yet again, Eastern transport companies always go for brand new vehicles and Morden parks etc.

In the North the will rather climb trailer that carry cow for a far distance journey than to enter modern buses they will enjoy comfort grin grin that's why no transportation company survive in the north, Igbos like their own comfort, that's why they build houses anywhere they find themselves unlike other tribes, Igbos enjoy confortability, that's why they are doing well in many sectors

All these dick measuring sef nawa for you ooh...All the brand new buses are used to ply only lucrative routes like Lagos, and Abuja.
All the buses plying Enugu to any state in the east are old buses too because those routes aren't lucrative enough.Remove Lagos and Abuja, all the transport companies owned by igbos are next to nothing.

You are arguing from point of ignorance
Most transporters in the east make their money with the SE route
Peace mass major cashflow routes na nsukka to Enugu, nsukka to onitsha
Romchi Enugu to abakiliki.

Lagos and Abuja are seasonal, Christmas, new year and Easter periods
