[quote author=Biodun556 post=122785825] . There are companies that are powered with solar, so, why won't it be used if their is no light. No cause for alarm. Good work Oando and Lagos state government. Some people's states are still battling with basic things why Lagos is forging ahead, yet, they appreciate not. 1 Like |

Placing the cart before the horse . Electric cars without uninterrupted power supply is a total waste of time . Don't be surprised to see these buses parked after few years . |

Biodun556:Awesome. These are the kinds of vehicle renewable technologies that must be adopted in mass transportation before the fuel subsidy is removed in Nigeria. I just heard that the planned subsidy removal has been suspended... but it has to be done so the money saved can go into more sustainable developmental projects. |

litaninja: Be careful how you laugh. Was reading with alarm yesterday that Mercedes Benz announced that the 2023 E-class will be the last pure combustion engined automobile in that fleet it will make. The era of ICE's has ended and Nigeria like most of the third world has not started the transition. We are not even talking about it as a country thoughtless of planning on the transition. My guess is that the tsunami from the fossil fuel earthquake happening in the rest of the developed world will probably hit us in a few years when the cost of old stock pure combustion engined cars begins to rise astronomically. And then what happens to a country without the infrastructure to transit to electric vehicles, a country that cannot manufacture combustion engines anyway.... There is a big, big problem coming. |

Juju70: This is the problem with many of commentators on issues. Someone is telling you a fact but because you live in a backward state, you think it is impossible! I hope you know that Lagos hospitals and all of Alausa enjoy power 24/7? Many areas in Lekki Ikoyi Surulere etc have been enjoying that for some time now with the Willing Buyer Willing Seller scheme. In many places in Osun state, there is constant power supply for more than 18 hrs daily. 1 Like |
