In general, the option of divorce makes men and women, especially independent women to be more irresponsible in marriage.

That's is why in my journey to find a spouse I was wary of ladies who had divorce as an option of first resort. The problem is most men and women don't discuss with their intended spouses. They get carried away by the romance, outings, etc and they judge their intended spouses based on their romantic experience and not insights from real discussions.
