Debunking Igbos Claim Of Marginalisation by gabbytabby(op): 5:56am On Apr 30, 2023
*DEBUNKING IGBO CLAIM OF MARGINALISATION*

The major areas that this is brought to my attention are

1) *Pro Unitate Schools*. After the war one of the social programs to foster unity among the tribes were unity schools and the nysc. The Igbo would always complain why is our cut off mark higher. The purpose of the unity schools was to create an environment where children from every state in Nigeria can mix to correct some of the prejudices we have about one another so the selection was skewed towards a quota system as that is the way to get representation from every state.

Note that responsibility for primary and secondary education rest with the state government and while the West and the North provided free education the East chose not to and this was part of the reason for the exodus from the East to the West and North.

Also often times there is this expectation from the East that they should always set the agenda and it should always be a free for all fight and the survival of the fittest but equality is more about providing the right tools to people at their level as we are only as good as our weakest link. It's more about progress and improvement and being seen to be carrying everyone along.

2) Jobs in the federal civil service this has been debunked as an exercise was carried out to check the genuineness of this claim and it was determined that the contrary was the situation as South Easterners were over represented in the Federal Civil Service than any other tribe.

*If you know any other areas that Igbos claim marginalisation let's debunk them or see if there is some truth or reason for it*

Don't embarass yourself here, why don't you do federal character to represent every state or region in leadership? Because igbos are sharper than some tribes you force quota system on education...who are you deceiving?
Re: Debunking Igbos Claim Of Marginalisation by gabbytabby(op):
Presidency

Other tribes are jealous of us and don't want us to be President. This clearly is not a MARGINALISATION issue but an acceptability issue. People have to want to buy what you are selling and feel that their interest would be protected under your leadership for them to vote.

The 2 times a yoruba has been chosen Abiola and Tinubu is it not the Igbo that are shouting for the military to take over or interim government or go to court, so they are the ones showing jealousy traits.

Tinubu is not Abiola and don’t think the actions of Arthur Nzeribe and Peter Obi and co through the ABN to illegally go to court to stop the Abiola elections and another action to stop the collation of the results is not noticed as an MO.

Igbos are not the only tribe being marginalized!

They are insatiable! The dot 5% region now becoming 2% region yet they want more!

Their noise is too much! We have over a hundred more tribes!

They weren't marginalized when their region not up to the land mass of Niger state or Kaduna state will be given 5 states and they are shouting marginalization.

Railway line didn't pass through all the 36 states in Nigeria and nobody shouted being marginalized.

You have to contact Nigeria railway corporation or you go to the train station.
You will be advised if it passes through any of those states.

I never said it must pass through all states. It virtually doesn't exist in southeast.

But the government has awarded contract to build railway that will reach Niger Republic.

Kicked off in 2021, the 248km rail line will traverses Kano other cities such as Kazaure in Bauchi State, Daura and Mashi in Katsina State; Dutse in Jigawa State, the border town of Jibia, before terminating in Niger Republic's trade and agricultural hub of Maradi.

If you want something you plan and wok for it, you can't sit fold your hands and expect someone to plan and execute for you then come and be claiming ownership or right shit.

See how wicked an unstable you guys are.

In presidency it should be open for the best candidate to emerge.

In employment, where exams are conducted. you throw that away remembering quota system, so others can be accommodated irrespective of their skill levels.

How can changing of goal post all the time to favour you be the best to move the country forward?

Go to NNPC 85% of the managers are from the north.
