They will use inverters in the buses otherwise it will still be in traffic till the 280km is exhausted in terms of time. Quick calculation. If a bus can do 280km in 2 hours, then obviously sitting in traffic for 3 hours (which is very minimal in Lagos) means the bus will be out of power at every ride and the owomida boys will 'show'.

What has Dangote got to do with the Bus Maintenance? Dangote na Mechanic?

You see that Dangote Refinery ehn, whatever it will refine already have a Market. So, don't bother your head about asking or saying Dangote won't let this happen. The whole of West Africa alone will be served once that Refinery come on stream.

Of cos your concern are legit. But let me ask you a question. A parked running Car and one doing 100km on Lagos Ibadan Expressway, do they consume the same amount of Fuel?

If you read the Report, you will see where it is stated that there will be a Central Charging Area at TBS besides these Buses run on a Dedicated Corridor, so they won't spend that much in Traffic.

Nice innovation, but thought they would have gone for solar charged buses. Instead of setting charging stations.

This is fascinating. However, Lets wait till when their batteries will die on top third mainland bridge and passengers are left stranded.

The 280km is the estimated Journey one Bus is expected to make in a day considering the fact that the present BRT Buses average 200km in round Trips Daily.

As for me, I don't see any reason to pump more cars on the road.
Because this will cause more traffic....

The government should consider water transportation

Brilliant idea, in addition the school should make swimming mandetorty for all students.

electric vehicles are notorious for spontaneously catching fire and the fires are extremely difficult to put out. The battery safety technology is still too infant to be deployed in a 3rd world country like Nigeria. Recently a ship containing 4000 cars sank because it contained some electric vehicles that caught fire.

The next step is to lobby your leaders in nnewi to buy gas buses from innoson and flood the streets of nnewi and the SE with your gas busses

This is commendable. Good initiative. More works should be done on the roads to sustain the quality of these buses.
