N3TRAL:Nigeria is not a communist state either. It's a capitalist democracy, many of these doctors went to private universities and work in the private sector, they have nothing to do with your supposedly "subsidized education" Average salary of a medical doctor in the US is $200,000 average 1 year rent for a 3-bedroom apartment in the US is $24,000 which means a medical doctor can afford almost a 8-year lease with their annual salary after taxes Can the average medical doctor in Nigeria afford a 8-year lease with their annual salary after taxes? |

Antimandatethie:This man is a disaster ...he already knows that he is going on permanent political retirement afteMayay 29 ...he is not competent ....he is highly tribalistic and he shows it in his ministry and his relationship with the political party members...and he is a serial liar ....supposing Keyamo is the substantial minister for Labour, Ministry of Labour could have experienced more development than what this beast has given to Nigerian workers. .it is under his leadership that Nigeria doctors are leaving the country in thousands. The number of Nigerian doctors in the Uk and Saudi Arabia is alarming..... This man is a monumental failure. How I wish it was the time of Obasanjo's administration...he could have been sacked after two months of resumption because he is not effective and efficient ... |

N3TRAL:Typical jealousy of the average Nigerian. Is there any course not subsidized in Nigeria? In it all, government should put themselves together and ensure the basic things needed to work and build a career exist instead of crying foul. |

Who will borrow to study where job is 50/50 chance? You had free training but your four pockets is still full of public fund while you are on a public service. |

N3TRAL:You have a point but it’s lopsided. Nigerian politicians should never go on medical tourism if we chunk out these many doctors each year from our medical schools. The worst is a president going for medical treatment overseas. What does that connote? What kind of leadership is that? If leaders can go overseas for treatment to have better lives, so can any citizen leave the country to seek better life. If we all want better lives, then we should all start doing the right thing by making things work in the country first. |

N3TRAL:in as much as I don't like government and their useless policies especially APC, just a little write up from you convinced me. Government major problem is communication, they have some good policies but refused to communicate with the people. |

My only worry is the politicians and rich people who still japa abroad for medical treatment. For me the FG must balance the equation by stopping politicians and rich people seeking medical treatment abroad just as they want to stop medical doctors from japaing. Shikena! |

I obtained that free training. In fact my own I was even on scholarship. Why won’t I be patriotic to serve my country I thought this he goat practiced abroad before he was patriotic enough to come back Nigeria to loot. Why not the leaders be patriotic enough to upgrade and patronise the hospitals in Nigeria instead of wasting tax payers money on medical tourism. I only pity those who take politicians serious, worse are those who fight nor ruin relationships because of them. Come to Abuja and see how these guys are rocking them lives. |

N3TRAL:Well,we could pay the same as Europe if we paid a higher tax to gdp ratio (which your APC government has not done ) or allowed hospitals to control the prices they set (which your APC government has not done). |

In as much as I understand his point, I'll urge him to tell his fellow political criminals to lead by example, by making sure they and their families should stop going abroad for schooling or medical reasons, they should live and enjoy the useless country they have created...awon ashiere oloriburuku gbogbo |
| Re: Sense Of Entitlement Syndrome In Nigeria Too Much – Ngige by onuman: 5:13pm On May 01, 2023 |
Antimandatethie:Even if the governments at all levels in Nigeria build and equip the best hospitals in Nigeria, the poor wages, worsening insecurity, and deep rooted corruption in Nigeria, will make the doctors run down the hospitals and emigrate abroad for better living standards. It's better for the political class to first accept the fact that Nigeria's unitary government system makes the country most dysfunctional. |

Saga16:Yes in a country where these same politicians say N30,000 is too much as minimum wage for their parents. A country where you can't get student loan if you want. Please, how much do the FG pay their workers in dollars? Do you have an idea? |
