Nigeria Lost Not Making Osinbajo President – Ex-Kano Emir, Sanusi by valentineuwakwe(op): 9:32am On May 02, 2023
Former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has lamented that the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo is not Nigeria’s president.
Sanusi said Nigeria lost by not electing Osinbajo as its president
.

He spoke at the virtual launch of a book: “Osinbajo Strides: Defining Moments of an Innovative Leader,” yesterday.
Sanusi said the failure of the political system to throw him up as president has made Nigeria worse off.

The former Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, governor, pointed out that Osinbajo was one of those in the current administration willing to debate any matter and yield superior argument.

“And I dare say, we all agree that Nigeria is worse off for not having someone like him (Osinbajo) as president, but I do hope that he will be available to serve and to advise and to put in his best for the country and continue to do.

So I’m sure he will, in whatever capacity he finds himself in the future, and maybe we’ll still be lucky to have him lead us at some point or take some leadership role as a statesman,” Sanusi said.

In 2022, Osinbajo had contested for the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primaries.

Osinbajo contested against the President-elect, Bola Tinubu; former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; among others.
The Vice President was heavily criticized by Tinubu’s loyalists for opting to contest while his alleged political godfather was in the race.

Osinbajo was described as a threat among other names for contesting against Tinubu during the presidential primaries.

As long as nigeria remains like this, good men won't be able to rule this country. The system can't favour them.

Leadership is not for the weak or for those without a sound political base.

Nigeria has gained by electing a brilliant mind in Tinubu.

A brilliant Finance technocrat.
An effective and innovative administrator and manager.
An astute politician.

A round peg in a round hole.

Osinbajo is a peaceful and intellectually sound man, I listened to his viral lecture on prejudices in Nigeria and I gave him a standing ovation. Tinubu is lack lustre and that's why the country is not seeing any positive changes before he assumes office meaning that he is simply Buhari Pro Max

Tinubu is actually better than Osibanjo... So Nigerians gained massively because he never made it to become president.

What did he achieve as VP for 8yrs?
As a Pastor pls point me directly to any statement he made as demons have consistently murdered Christians in the Middle belt especially Southern Kaduna?

During Endsars, where was he when young Nigerians were jailed and even killed because the protested against wicked men in Uniforms?

What has Osibanjo actually done for his people in Ogun State? What are his signature projects? Tradermoni that was used to buy votes in 2015, how far? what can 5k buy in today Nigeria?
I repeat Tinubu is by far better than Osinbajo yet he is the worst thing about to happen to Nigerians

Only zombie.s, mis.creants and unreasonable ur.chuns thought differently. They prefer a Barnabas to a Jesus. Can we just imagine the international embarrassment and moral baggage of an illegitimate government under a president Tinubu? Seen in the likes of fellow drug barons? Well, Nigerians survived Buhari, they will survive these shenanigans by apc.

The reality is democracy has been hijacked with the help of monetized politics before the people get a chance at general polls.

Why cos he speaks fluent English??
Nah, he was Vp to Buhari and couldn't play the political aspect of influencing things positively.
In leadership, moral uprightness isint half enough, political compromise matters alot otherwise you'll end up being a good man with good intention while having a bad era. In the end the people suffer.
Political charisma is a very essential and underrated tool in leadership.
How to get people in order is very much needed.

Is not a lost!

That buhari office secretary could have been just a little better than buhari.

Nigeria missed a second disaster; which was a good thing.

Osinbajo is a good man
But we shouldn't make it look like He's not a member of this Buhari's govt. And we know that this govt is the worst govt Nigeria has ever had. Anyway.... We should also know that Nigerian govt wants to share 800m to 50 people. when we have incompleted structures that the money can help finish. There's need for rail to Onne warf. But it doesn't concern me shaaa

His party did not choose him, and he did not do the spadework at all to get enough support.

Once Tinubu got several strategic governors in his pocket, the deal was sealed.

Yeah, a dream race would have been Osibanjo for APC vs Obi for PDP. But the sad thing is, wishes can't be horses. Also, upper class and middle class technocrats always lose out when it is time to play politics in Nigeria. SLS is also another good example.
