Actually, what Tebas is doing is not bad. He's preventing the Spanish clubs from spending more than they're able to, to avoid dire financial difficulties in the future. It is the case of a teacher trying to prevent the students from failing, so as to avoid punishment in the future.

As for EPL, it is a case of teacher allowing the students to fail and then come up to punish them. As seen in the case of Manchester City. They have lined out over 100 financial misalignments and have charged them accordingly. Where were they when City were doing all those spendings and declaring whatever they saw fit?

Laliga approach might appear to be emasculating the clubs in the short term but it brings a financial discipline that will benefit them in the long run. Nothing lasts forever. Even these EPL clubs that are super-rich. No one knows for how long such time of abundance will last. You need to be more disciplined especially with regards to money.
