larride:Please what commodity are we spending? When you remove the limits what does it lead to? Why is there a restriction in the first place? Buhari borrowed from CBN beyond what was allowed to enable government spend. You guy said he wants to removal whatever restriction on our spending.. You want to use English to bend away. I am very open to being educated. Infact school me so that every person here can learn from my L. |

larride:The 270 was from Air Peace. But i don't see both NAF and Azman bringing in up to 1000 I just dey concerned about the 72 hours ceasefire expiring Once dem start fight again, it would be extremely difficult to do anything |

larride:How many people per bus? How many buses have moved in total? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 1:50pm On May 04, 2023 |
I think the Governors should push for the sharing formula to be reviewed. The recent constitution amendments that Buhari signed into law like the Power, railway and correctional services being move to the concurrent list means the governors will have more responsibilities. The FG shouldn’t still be getting that 52.6% of the revenue anymore. I know the RMFAC submitted a proposed review of the sharing formula last year August to Buhari, the governors should push for it to be signed into law. |

liveLongNprospa:You are mixing up the two. Borrowing is different from Spending What Buhari flouted was the Borrowing limit. What Tinubu said is the Spending limit. Na two different things |

izzou:If it’s the 72hours, I’m sure the ceasefire go don expire. I don’t think it’s going to be just a trip for Airpeace and Azman, I think they will go for the evacuation many times. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 1:53pm On May 04, 2023 |
afrodoc2:I think the first 3 buses that moved was 50 people per bus. That’s the last information I have. I’ll check Madam Abike timeline later to get updated information. |

larride:It depends on how many are in Egypt If there are still Nigerians trapped in Sudan (which i am assuming), there is little they can do I know they gave that 72 hours twice. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by afrodoc2: 1:58pm On May 04, 2023 |
larride:That is about 1,500 people. All the focus should be on getting everybody out of Sudan first. We can now get them out of Egypt as quickly as we can. |

liveLongNprospa:Bros there’s a different between government spending and government borrowing. In fact there’s no restriction for government borrowing except you want to borrow from the CBN as the last resort, that’s where there’s a restriction to 5% of your last year revenue. And that’s what Buhari broke. What Tinubu is proposing is to remove restriction on government spending. During every year budget presentation, there’s also a finance policy that goes along with that budget which most times is always under the short term or medium term expenditure framework. This framework sets a cap on what the government can spend which is usually a % of the GDP or Revenue. You can read this world bank article that was released last year on why Nigeria needs to remove the restrictions on government spending. https://www.worldbank.org/en/news/feature/2022/11/21/nigeria-needs-to-spend-more-and-better

izzou:Yes, there are still some in Sudan which I think the remaining buses will ferry. I’ll check madam Abike timeline later in the evening for more information. |

afrodoc2:I think this is the plan. To get everybody to Egypt or the other evacuation point first and then evacuate to Nigeria. |

OasisX:The thing about Tinubu is not just that he's physically unfit but also mentally unfit judging by so many errors he made during campaign speeches and even his victory speech too. |

Meanwhile with what happened last night at PH, Senator Goodswill Akpabio will be the Senate President for the 10th assembly. |

larride:With our very high corruption levels and the lack of character trust of the incoming president, would you suggest unlimited spending? |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 2:28pm On May 04, 2023 |
Spy360:Well me myself might not totally subscribe to unlimited spending but the cap should be increased in folds. We can’t be spending so low and then expect accelerated development. |

larride:Thats my choice as well Not Orji Kalu wey spend his energy campaigning for a Northern candidate Akpabio was the first Presidential candidate to step down for Tinubu |

izzou:Why the rush? In 90yrs time if you are still alive come and collect $1m from me |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by afrodoc2: 2:32pm On May 04, 2023 |
raumdeuter:Akpabio is also more likely to be a team player and leader than OUK who can be a loose cannon and whose ambition might get in the way of common goals and common sense. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 2:34pm On May 04, 2023 |
izzou:Lmao.. Izzou it's a very simple thing. I know what buhari flouted was for borrowing which led to an increase in debt. Tinubu is talk about removing spending restrictions which will also lead to an increase in debt. The common factor is money in both cases. Sho get? When you allow us over spend because according to Tinubu it is the times we are in and the EU (probably some countries) that will raise our debt profile.

How will BAT hope to increase spending when our revenues are so low? I was reading a statement from Edo governor Obaseki that unless something quickly is done FG won't be able to pay salaries beyond June. larride: |

larride:You have said nothing. You nor even lecture me? The same question is what I'll ask you. Where will the money come from? You borrow external debt profile goes up. You borrow internally debt profile goes up. So how has what you've said changed anything? |
