I borrowed from one loan app like that, just to see their operations. This people called, sent messages to my contact list, threaten to lock me in jail, I was just laughing at them.

If they call me, I'll pick the call. Talk in a chilled way, laugh and give them the vibes that I'm happy being their debtor, and they should do their worse. I even told them to come and pick me, lock me, but just feed me well.

Later they now realised that I'm an oloriburuku somebody, then they started talking calmly and asking if I can pay instalmentally. The adventure ended there and I just paid them off with their interest and delete the app.

These loan sharks targets the weak, the broke ass, and the lowest of society since they know these class of people are most likely to be uneducated, fearful and easily manipulated.

These loan idiots keep threatening people as if they have power over you. Don't give them that power. They are at your mercy. They can't do anything. They insult you, talk down on you, blackmail you, for what? That's agaisnt the law.

I understand Nigerian law regarding debt, there is nothing they can do to me if I don't have the money to pay. If they take me to any court, I'll ask the court to give me a job so I can pay back. As far my default is not intentional, punishing me is not the solution.

Locking a jobless man is just an undue burden on the government, you're not the kind of customers corrupt enforcement officers are looking for. You're broke, nobody wants you, even police stations.

So how do people get their money back from Nigerians( that never pay their debts) when there is no collateral except by resulting to shaming/ defamation?

If you can provide an alternative means of collecting your money aside shaming and collateral,then kindly state it.

The elite of the society provide collaterals,but these low people have non to provide aside their reputation.

Who will defend money lenders when the law permits debtors to move freely and act as they wish without considerations on those they owe?


Why not you channel the energy used in defending chronic debtors in advising Nigerians in paying their debts?

These vulnerable/low people whose side you stand on,will be ruthless to you. If you think I am lying kindly send money by error to a "vulnerable person" and ask them for refund.


You defend the worst set of people on this planet and pose them as victims and vulnerable.

Has it not bothered you that this "victims" didn't approaching their families,relatives,friends,churches,employers for an advance,colleagues etc?

They avoid people who are acquainted with them because they already know who this people are.

The loan shark exists because of the disgusting attitudes of Nigerians as regards to debt. They owe landlords for two years,flee with peoples money. Even their families and friends don't trust them with money and so they resort to loan sharks.

Without the stress of filling paper works, dropping a collateral,hiring a lawyer and other long processes, humiliating yourself by begging your friends for money, you have a swift loan granted to you in a couple of minutes and you yet owe them?

In all the criticisms of loan sharks,and call for their eradication,one will be shooting ones self on his legs. Why?

1. The banks will not give them loans.Never

2.Families,friends and acquaintances will not lend them money( if they will,then this debtors will not resort to loan sharks in the first instance)

3.these 'vulnerable people" will become more vulnerable as emergency money provided by the loan sharks will not be available. For ill health or fee payment approaching their deadlines,they will be no way out for them.

Obviously they will run to the worst set of people on these earth as a last resort when there is no means of obtaining money.

Or what do you think is responsible for gun men storming a place and gunning down a single person amongst a crowd if not for a debt/business deal gone wrong?

Honestly I don't know, but as long as that is your main account, and money enter often, your loan app will begin to build up, based on how much you always receive in the account...

The GTBank is actually my salary and main account, infact after I finished paying the last one I collected, 500k, it increased to 900k..

But I don't need loan again, so the money is still in my loan app...

And the interest rate is 2%...

As long as your account has a huge inflow and consistent transaction activities, and your business has a physical address which can be verified, the bank would give you loan

I'm also eligible for half of my salary, they will give me half of my salary, and when my salary dropped they remove the half and leave the half for me..

Lastly, my salary comes as at when due, my salary has never entered into a new month before, they pay us every end of every month, even if the day is weekend, it will enter, just like last month, month ended Saturday, my salary still entered...
