Good as it were, this doesn't depict an average Nigerian recruiter because they themselves dont have the skills, ability & parameters to gauge or decipher these things in a potential employee.

This is the reason why the banking industry is full of rude, lazy, nagging, & non-chalant employees.

They erroneously believe that anybody with First Class & 2:1 will have these sets of quality.

You nailed it, Banking system recruitment is so bad, some look for fine girls only to do Marketing sef. They are alot of Rude staffs working in banks especially Union and UBA. They have no principles and ethics other than Belittling people looking for opportunities. I had a first-hand experience at UBA Maitama, God so kind the recruitment officer didn't pick me and I avoided emotional Torture..

That is a very bad thing for you to say to someone. Espicially in this state of the country You dont know the circumstances surrounding him...why judge? Some people that were more intelligent than us in the university and graduated with first class and had all those qualities most us got jobs still got jobs before them...I sent one of them money this past week out of compassion and he had better results and qualifications than me. Stop that

Number 5 is "Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving" , not having a job, is not a problem?. He said he has all the skills. He should be able to solve that problem in order for him to qualify to say he has all the required skills.

Top Soft Skills Nigerian Employers Need

1. Slave Mentality.
This is whereby you need to work like elephant for them, and eat like ant. Nigerian employers highly support the 'Monkey dey work Bamboon dey shop' policy with their workers. They love those who would work till they die, because they believe that workers are animals or machine they have procured to themselves all in the name of giving them employment.

2. Mugu.
Nigerian employers love this quality. It is whereby you say 'Yes Ma', or 'Yes Sir' always to them when they scream your name. If you cannot do the 'Sir' and 'Madam' they sack you. You work more than your salary, but you need to say 'Thank you Sir', or 'Thank you Ma' when they pay the peanut. When they make fun of you, you should say 'Yes Sir'/Ma'. Mugu is when you don't know your right. Mugu is a soft skills they all wanted.

3. Prostitution.
Nigerian employers (the male boss), gives role to women or ladies they can Bleep. They don't value decency or morality. They Bleep their secretary. They even increase their salary above measure. They can Bleep all the female staff one by one. They Bleep them even in their business office. Prostitution is a golden soft skills they desire.

4. Lie.
Nigerian employers want someone who can lie on their behalf, because they involve in dirty businesses. They are criminals, crooks, fraud etc. So, if you can't lie for them, you can't work under them.

Soft skills give you an advantage because its what people tend to see first oga...

If you go for an interview and you have very good professional qualities but you make snide or rude remarks or act cocky you think theyll consider you even though your professionally good?

That's why a lot of you have problems building connections or even keeping jobs because your character can be off putting

You don't know anything. You are not being practical.

If you are dying and I m the only one with the cure to your ailment, the last thing that will be on your mind is my character . You just want to get cured.
