Akpabio should be the Senate president, he deserves that seat

Senator Akpabio is a man of destiny , from an unknown business man in Lagos to a commissioner , Governor ,senator , Minister and God's willing the next president of the Senate of the federal rep.of Nigeria.

I don't believe any APC Senator will insist on contesting against Tinubu's choice.

I expect Mr Orji Kalu will eventually withdraw. It will be political suicide to challenge the authority of this President elect.

Tinubu's 'I owe you nothing' and 'I will leave the banter to you and Sanwo Olu' comments in Port Harcourt will have sent a signal to even the most senior APC politicians that this man is going to be bold, decisive, and ruthless against things like party indiscipline.

Tinubu is not Buhari o.

Umahi stepping down for Akpabio, is very strategic.

Just as Akpabio stepped down for Tinubu and got rewarded with Senate Presidency, Umahi stepping down for Akpabio will get him rewarded with something in the long run.

Also any EFCC charges him against him by the coming administration will not be possible as he has liased with the coming President and Senate President.

Exactly. The work Akpabio put in for Tinubu was very obvious after stepping down for him in the primaries unlike Kalu who antagonised Tinubu all the way and was hobnobbing with Lawan. Even the election results in Abia showed he never cared to work for Tinubu there as he won his own Senate seat while Tinubu lost woefully, both elections held same time. Making Kalu the Senate President would be rewarding disloyalty and treachery.

Just say it plainly he didn't rigged for tinubu. Anyhow una wan do am self. The system is already bastardize

He never attended any of the Tinubu rallies including the one held in his home state Abia. He only received Tinubu on his arrival but didn't attend the stadium rally.

While Akpabio stepped down for Tinubu during primary and went ahead to follow him round the campaign rallies in the south south States, and that of Abuja.

Why so much noise about the fact that Umahi endorsed Akpabio. This is just one of the numerous intrigues expected in the race for Senate Presidency. Akpabio has not won yet.

If Tinubu is left to choose singlehandedly, I'm sure he would go for Oshiomole not Akpabio. The problem is that Oshiomole is not a ranking Senator. Nonetheless, Tinubu will be looking out for a good party man and core loyalist amongst the contenders. In this regard, he may prefer Akpabio over Kalu, especially considering the fact that Akpabio supported him during the primaries whereas Kalu supported Ahmad Lawan.

This is not betrayal, it is obedience and loyality and respecting himself and political ambition.
