iamoyindamola:I think they gave him a free role this time. He should have buried that 1o1 sha. Low shot was better option under such a press from Schar. |

Lovely clean sheet for Rams. He personally delivered that to himself. He doesn't look like someone that makes key saves in a match😂 |

daveP:Exactly parallel shoot will enter or cut schar and collect PK |

BlueRayDick:I looked out for what you said about Xhaka in this game. Looked like i was right on both of them. Although Nelli waiting was due to nobody being near him so he held on longer almost 6times. Xhaka was in a deeper role today surprisingly. Those clearances and blocks are what Partey supposed to be doing but he doesn't even have the pace. (I think Xhaka is even faster than Partey) Howe played to outsmarted our strength Arteta played to outsmarted their strength (perhaps the modification for Xhaka role today) We won. Isolate Guimares and their defence becomes more clueless. That Guimares get better pass and vision abeg!! I wish we got him that time we were linked. I don't mind having him but it's late now that Newcastle are in UCL spot. I'll still be on lookout sha. But the rotation didn't happen today. |

daveP:He's my direct swap for xhaka, very good box to box Who noticed willock partly ruined Newcastle today, he hesitated to shoot early in his chances |

daveP:Roland17 no lie at all. Make Odegaard Dey shoot am as e Dey come. Happy for this victory. Newcastle and Brighton were the two teams I thought would have stopped us from winning the league. It turns out that we might overcome their challenge. Sadly, we had two unexpected draw games. The two draws against Westham and Southampton might end up being our biggest regret in recent time. Perhaps the gods of football might still smile at us and make the Man City draw two games or lose two games while we win all of ours. |

daveP:Did me and u have any discussion about Zinchenko being a better defender than Tear-Knee ? It’s obvious Zinchencko is preferred because of his attacking inputs ; not necessarily his defensive inputs . We have moved away from sitting back doing all the defending ( as at last year) ; to taking the ball to our opponents half . That in itself means we’ve prioritized attack ahead of defence . The fact that Ben white a CB is being used as RB shows our coach prefers to sacrifice one side for attack and the other for defence . If we intend to sacrifice Zinchencko for his defensive errors , then we should be willing to get a decent RB that will be attacking minded . That way , we will have Tear-knees defensive solidity on the LB |

daveP:Just wait and watchout for him in subsequent matches . Today’s match is the kind of match Xhaka likes , a lot of rough game in the middle of the park . |

One of Arteta's best game so far tactical-wise. Ode and Jorginho steadily serving me a big L. I will gladly swallow it though. I particularly like the first goal. A combination of tactical awareness and technicality. Jorginho and Saka delaying their passes was a bait. As soon as Joelington moved in, Ode was free and Jorginho did the needful. BTW, 200 years for that ref... I was surprised Newcastle escaped a red card today. |

BlueRayDick:The earlier Arsenal fans realise that Zinchenko is not a LB but a CM the better. The reason he is in that team is thebCM role not the LB. Arteta plays with a back three and only when defending he switches to a back four. |

Beating Newcastle mean out of 19 teams we beat 17 of them Only first and the last we couldn't beat, losing to city and drawing with soton We have really come a long way |

iamoyindamola:I noticed two were on him throughout. The passes he gave when he beat those 2 were dangerous ones. Willock hestitated truly. But he shot one too sha. |

toluxe0075:as it stands, only Everton and Brentford can pull a surprise on City. Else nothing is happening. Not bad to believe sha. This was one of the reasons i wanted us to score large for times like this incase it came down to GD but the h2h already negates that. |

BlueRayDick:Do we? That's why i asked cos it's been raised on here several times months back before this bad run of games even started. Everyone knows the better defender and that's a fact. As for White, i have complained about him strolling back like asif nothing concern him when they counter us. Funny enough, today was one of his best games in defensive mode. Glad he had help from Saka for Saint Max. That guy moves like a usain bolt snake. Regardless, we need reinforcement there. UCL no be beans. |

BlueRayDick:That Xhaka really blocked goalbound shots today o. Imagine games where Xhaka is the most fouled midfielder😂😂😂 That says a lot. I heard they're training ESR for the xhaka role. To me that's an epic waste of resources to me. They should goan find replacement in the market. ESR can be Odegaard replacement for rotation. That's more preferred to me. |

mostob:Arsenal will be unplayable next season. Whatever the outcome of this one, the ginger that they'll see both highs and disappointing lows in crucial times of this season will make them unplayable like City. Reinforcement will help. Especially players that can trouble City if we play with them. We need to prioritize that kind of recruiting. I dunno why Pundits have really been putting floodlights on Ivan Toney as a good buy for Arsenal sha. Been seeing it from tabloids too. The 3 teams that ruined this season for us with draws go hearam too. But City are siblings with success. Omo!!

Mikel Arteta showed his team the ‘All or Nothing’ clip before the last Newcastle game to give his team moral According to Aaron Ramsdale: “It wasn’t mentioned up until the meeting before we left the hotel. The manager showed us a clip of the documentary last year, showed us all our faces, staff included, showing how hurt we were feeling, all of our reactions. We had that burning desire as soon as we left the hotel that it wasn’t going to be the same today” Good one from Arteta! |

mostob:If we can get vlahovic, jesus should battle with saka for the wing position while nketiah and vlahovic also compete. Trossard and martinelli already competing for same spot Can arteta handle big squad |
