Melvyn11:Lmao don't make me laugh. You think the average African feminist gender equality babe doesn't still want a higher earning man? Not saying it's a crime just pointing out the double standards. African traditional settings?? You think we're in 1979. Did they tell you these women today are traditional? If you like you can deliberately hunt poorer women, that will not still make them traditional. And IMO anyone still playing traditional provider man for these non traditional women especially at your young age is a confirmed mugu. Only truly traditional women deserve that luxury |

Immediately I saw the news about what happened, I thought, "Eurosoccer Section guys would certainly want to take a piss"; so I decided to come on here - and I was right. First off, Use-Offot where it happened is in Uruan LGA, not Uyo. It's at the fringes of the state. The culprits have been arrested. There's a law prohibiting cultism in Akwa Ibom. Reviewed in 2020. Please confirm this. Secondly, if you had to wait for months to find one incidence of a violent clash to get your supposed "glass houses" moment for what is a daily occurrence in Rivers (and Kogi for Amoto whose mention I just saw), then you are corroborating my point. Security is a relative term. Sweden is one of the safest countries in the world but there are still pockets of violence. Canada is safer than Nigeria but there are still cases of crime. The question is, what's the frequency of (violent) crimes? That for Akwa Ibom (and Uyo) is way lower than Rivers (and Port Harcourt). Just this month alone in Rivers, police officers have been decapitated, and numerous people murdered. Some reported on Nairaland. And it's just May 10. Last week, Ogoni boys cordoned off Eleme - Port Harcourt - Eket road to rob around midday (close to where Amaechi sited the Banana Plantation), again, as always on the Rivers part of the road. I was on that road, but I wasn't petty enough to come announce it on Nairaland. Airmark, Popiziano, and a number of persons have mentioned me over the weeks to buttress what I have stated but I didn't want to dwell on it. It still won't stop the fact that today being Oil Mill Market Day in Port Harcourt, it's going to get bloody, or someone isn't going to get shot at 1st Artillery or Diobu. Or at CFC as you approach Mile 1. Or from 7:30PM, prepare for anything at Railway crossing behind D/Line and Elelenwo areas. All just in Port Harcourt. You don't want to.get me started on Etche, Abonnemma and other areas. You can only lie to these guys who don't know Rivers like you and I. Security is a relative term, and Akwa Ibom has always been top 5 on such (security) lists since 2009. ![]() If you want to keep wailing about an issue I let go 2 months ago, then humour yourself. I'd drink to the tears. |

izzou:We are back in the business of having presidential jet parked abroad and having thousands of pounds/dollars paid as parking fee for as long as the president needs to stay abroad . The last time dem dey drag buhari for paying 4K pounds daily for parking the presidential jet in the UK for 50 days, Garba Shehu was busy telling us it’s 1k pounds daily with special waiver and not the outrageous 4K pounds being speculated in the media 🤦♂️

Spy360:LMAO. ![]() Now that you ask, especially in light of the case being adjourned until the 17th of May again, I do know for certain that it'll be prolonged for as long as possible. And there'll still be many dramas and twists to come with it. (Although, I noticed BATist boys seemed to have soft-pedaled on their propaganda against PO?) And Tinubu will definitely be sworn in before a judgement is delivered (that is assuming none of those 'spiritual prophecies' about him being arrested come to pass LOL). I also think from now until then, he has the backing of the incumbency, and when he gets there, he may have some constitutional power that will make the delivery of a swift judgment all the more hard. Another part of me also feels like this case wouldn't end at the Appeal Court, but at the Supreme Court. Some weeks ago, if you'd asked me, I would have told you I was 98% certain that Obi will get his mandate back. Sure, I am hopeful and positive, but realistically, I cannot say anything definite. I will have to wait and see more development/progress in the case before I can confidently predict how it'll end. On the issue of the forfeiture for example; it happened alright, but I wonder how the LP's team are going to make that stick as grounds for disqualification. The issue is not a new public knowledge no more, and it's hard to think that no one has ever tried to drag Tibubu to court for it and succeeded. Like, why hasn't someone taken him to court all this while? In the past? Does LP have other damning evidence that has never seen the light of the day? Obi doesn't strike me as someone who will pursue a course without him being sure of its success. I do not recall the details of the double nomination, but it's about Shettima, right? I think he resigned from being a Senator a day too late, and that may be a valid ground. As for the FCT ish, too, it is highly semantical, but generally, we know that 'AND' is a conjuction that places a condition on the thing mentioned after. Purely, linguistically, there is nothing confusing about that. 25% of votes in the FCT is a requirement. Now, some people argue that, 'oh, why should the FCT have a deciding power more that the rest of us?' and I say, the FCT doesn't have a governor, too. Is it okay for it to be 'inferior' to other states in that respect? Abuja being the FCT isn't just symbolic; Aso Rock and the National Assembly and so many other governmental agencies are there. It's only right for the indigenes there to get their own consideration. The argument/clause is just like the standard English and Math pass requirements. It's self-explanatory. 'I gave sweet to Tola, Shola, Debbie, and Macy.' 'You must have 50% in Chemistry, Literature, English and the Fine Arts.' So I do believe this one is a VERY strong case. Someone on Twitter thoroughly broke it down in a thread, though, and some people are now saying that general English language is different from English 'under the law.' ![]() Toor. If that is so, I have no f-king idea, but in standard English, the consequence of using 'and' is indisputable. And finallyyyyy, Ikpeazu. (I thought he was the leading counsel, but I saw a Livy as the leading counsel on PO's team on F?P). But anyway, whether he's the one leading or he's a part of the team, I believe he has an immeasurable value to bring to the case given his history of electoral petitions. So, that's it... sorry for the long talk i am like that sometimes |
