I've been a fan of Xiaomi since 2017 especially with the Redmi note 4 series even when they didn't have an office in Nigeria.

We were getting these phones cos of value for money, these days their phones are pricey especially for the midrange phones.
the increase in price is coz they now have to set up a physical presence in the country, invest in marketing, pay taxes...etc back then you just ordered online from china at no experience to them.

Really? Is it only in Nigeria they're selling the new versions?
Are they not selling to the countries they were present before opening an office in Nigeria, and are the prices different?

I'm tired of trying to educate people about that brand. I've been doing it for the last 4 years and they keep refusing to learn. So I don leave them.

Anyone that buys Helio G85 for 177k deserves it.

if you remember the way xiaomi started out back when the phones were really affordable, they didn't have offices in most countries. It was mainly acquired through online purchase. Just a few countries in europe and china had physical stores. That was the same for some other brands like oneplus and realme.

So the presence of physical stores help skyrocket the price and also make them produce similar phones like how Tecno? Even Tecno we accused back them have reduced it.

Hmm, it's actually a worthy look to be honest. Specs is good. He'll most likely want to stick with Poco because he's coming from the Redmi Note Series.

There was never a time when phones were AFFORDABLE. Unless you're talking about entry level trash like the Tecno P5 or Samsung Galaxy J1.

The Infinix Zero 6 in 2018/19 with SD636 sold for 120K. If you adjust for inflation using 20%, that's almost 200k for a lower Midrange phone. The Samsung Galaxy A30 with Exynos 7904 sold for 90k which is around 160-170k today.

Phones were never cheap. It was Xiaomi that crashed the prices of good phones and that's why we loved them. They didn't only crash it, they taught us how to read phones specs and spot good phones. This was so that we could know what they were giving us on the cheap.

RN7, SD660, 48MP, FHD LCD and 18W for 66k vs Zero 6, SD636, 12MP, FHD LCD and 10W for 120k

See the difference?

Poco F3 is a badass but I think it depends as well on how often one turn over phones, I couldn't get an old phone when I know I'm not planning to replace for a couple of years. Ultimately I decided I'd sleep better with a new phone man.

Water commot for your eye 🀣🀣🀣. Na because you sabi read specs o. In the past I was obsessed with tearing nylon off my phones and laptops myself. I bought 3 foreign used laptops last year and there was no obvious dent on them. My mind changed o.
Na older flagships go dey do am now.
