Years After Graduation, I'm Still Jobless And Starving. I'm Afraid Of My Future by GoWithGood: 7:46am On May 12, 2023
This is a cry of a jobless Nigerian youth.

Not to rely on the normal 9-5 job which I have been seeking, I have learnt soft digital skills like Copywriting, Digital Marketing, Domain Flipping. But these are not generating revenue for me because I hardly have jobs to apply them. In the case of domain flipping, to make sale is not a child's play. I have used my little money to have a portfolio of 6 domains but sales are not coming even with aggressive outbounding.

May be coding would have been different but I can't afford a laptop.

I'm afraid of the situation! I'm afraid of the hunger and starvation!! I'm afraid of my future!!! I'm just afraid!!!!

Same thing i experienced. It seems not everyone is destined to make money online. I exhausted all my upwork connects without getting a job, my domains stayed more than a year without anyone even pricing them. I had to sell my amazon kdp account after making just 3 dollars in over a year.

You are really enjoying life to the fullest...

President Buhari, Osinbajo and the governors are the ones that are really suffering in Nigeria that's why they need the hardship allowance so much...

Truly, it is well. me na 1.12 dollars I see for that kdp. Sometimes it looks as if one is not making efforts but that is not the case. I guess the season of glory is at hand, let's keep hope alive and trust God to work things out.

Turn one of the skills into a long term product

It's not easy....but it's works

Especially if you are in top forums for digital marketing,
You should get job there
,
I spent over 5 years before I made a dim online,
Currently building a product that can turn in 10k per month,
The end of anyone in thise ICT stuff or all this internet thing is to have product

Even programmers will suffer if they don't have a product

Expatiate more on this let me understand it better. I might also be a beneficiary.

1.Go to driving school for 2 weeks.

2. Get driver's license.

Find a friend who can help you train with his car for 2 weeks.

You can start from there n build your way up.

@ goalnado.
That's feedback for you. 2 people have validated that option,
If you learn driving, after a month, you will get a job, and different options too.

A. Sales rep.
B sales manager.
C. Logistics supervisor
D. Head of transport.
E. Telecommunications/field team
F. Power holding /field team.
G.Construction/field team

The roles you can fit in are unlimited, just by learning a skill often overlooked. It's your call.

It seems you entered the soft skills market when you desperately needed money and as such every endeavors had a timeline to breakeven, putting pressure on you and your finances.

I started digital skills from school as a past time, giving me opportunity to learn and also deliver low cost (and sometimes free) solutions which translates to more opportunities and connections in the long run.

By the time I had gone professional, I already had a brand and there were clients queued up.

Get a side hustle (someone said here driving or some of these government empowerment schemes), to be paying the bills while you focus on providing solutions not just the money and building your network
