My Poultry Journey... by Foodqueen(op):
I rear broilers to start selling from 4 weeks.

This is my own side Hussle.

This time I added 2 turkey, cos I av never reared a day old turkey before.

I also added 5 cockerel to be roaming in the compound and eating left overs.

So far, they are doing very well.

No death till now, and I pray it remain so.

They were 7days old when this picture was taken.

Sales @3 weeks? Or you're selling to those who would then rear them to maturity?

Meanwhile, do you take them to the market or the buyers come to the house?

Yes, for people that will rear them.

I stay in ikorodu and most people here keep have the time to rear them.

They would rather buy from you when it's still small and affordable than wait till it gets to full maturity.

They rather prefer to buy old layer than buy mature broiler cos of the price, if u know what I mean.

I sell them at home.

They market it themselves.

Nice one, where are the cockerels?

They are there, somewhere together.

One thing I noticed some days ago is that they've identify themselves. U can easily see the cockerels together, and the turkey always together, unlike the broilers that are scattered everywhere.

This always happen when they've eaten and they are relaxing.

Kudos!

I duff my hat! When people are complaining about Nigeria, some brilliant ones are still sighting and exploiting opportunities.

Not some lazy fraudsters, whose only purpose in life is to steal.

How come the chickens resemble Peter Obi and his goons like this? Maybe because they share the same fowl brain! grin grin grin grin grin grin

These are the kind of threads that should make it to the front page.

Not when someone will cook palm oil rice with titus fish and upload to nairaland, then fiam, it makes front page.. undecided

This chick's are prone to flu and can easily infect others once they are together. It's hard to detect it because no symptoms until one day, a pox like reveal on one face you will quickly remove it but then it have transferred like an infrared to another and another until u will cut them whole and feed to your dogs.
