A001:
I know the etymology of Olodumare. But I'm not aware of the difference between Eledumare and Olodumare.

Olorun is in Odu Ifa corpus. You're wrong about that. Olorun is one of the oldest words in Yoruba language.
Eledumare was corrupted from Olodumare. No IFA adherent will call Olodumare as Eledumare.

Olorun as used in the Ifa Corpus is not a name of a god but as a title, "The owner of heaven". Olodumare is the supreme being.

It's obvious you read alot but it seems sometimes you get confused and mixed some things up.

An example also is categorizing Sango along with other supreme being in other religion.

Almost everyone that's basically interested in Yoruba history and culture and reads it will know Sango was human who learnt and got the secret of thunder. It was after his death that some of his followers began to worship him and he gained divinity.

These beings are called Orisha in Yoruba culture. They are not called olorun or whatever. Orisha are basically human things that transcend into spirit and represent an aspect of nature. For example Sango - Thunder, Ogun - Iron, Obatala - Healing and so on.

Infact in Ifa, Ori is more important than most of the Orisha. Theres an Ifa corpus that says "Ori la ba do, la fi Orisha is le"

It seems the western world are now beginning to highlight the evil that place on election day.

America has just announced the sanctioning of people responsible for the truncation of our democracy on election day. Let's see what they have in store for us.
Their media houses are beginning to speak up against the evil practices of these politicians.
Can I see the list of those people America sanctioned for being "responsible for the truncation of our democracy on election day."?

bro In so far as I want so called justice to prevail..

From day 1 , I don't support foreign entities interfering in our internal affairs..

Let us handle our shiits like a man, those Americans and whatever should face whatever that is facing them

And also, any person that hasn't moved on post election shock or loss by now doesn't have much going on for him real life..

Those involved in the direct elections should be the ones more worried.. as spectators which we re, I think all of us have more pressing issues in our various lives than crying wolf everyday on a lost election of our preferred candidates

No, but it is the shining example of everything that went wrong with that election. The most blatant and inarguable example of rigging.

What happened in rivers also happened in Lagos, imo, ebonyi, akwaibom, Edo and other parts. Just to varying degrees.

Guy it's always the same thing every 4 years.

USA doesn't care about what happens in Nigeria.

You think they're not benefitting from our corrupt politicians??

You're contradicting yourself. Just a while ago, you said Olorun is not in Ifa. Now you said it's there.

Olorun Olodumare is the name of the Supreme God in Yoruba culture. Isese adherents pray in Olorun's name.

Olorun is not a title. Not all all.

It's a specific name, and that's why no one else can bear Olorun.

Anyone can claim to be God, which is a title.

People that erroneously call Olorun a title are the same that say Olorun is the same as Allah and Yahweh. They all mean God Almighty.

That's a confusion of the highest order.
larride:

I don't confuse things. There was never a time I called Sango the Supreme God in any of my posts.

Where your confusion stems from is, I categorise all entities worshipped in religions as gods of religion, whether the major or chief gods such as Olorun Olodumare, Atum, Allah, Yahweh or the lesser gods such as Orunmila, Sango, and others.

You wonder why Guinness Book of Records achievement is celebrated like this then it hits you that Nigerians thirst for real national heroes with global accomplishments but the environment discourages true heroic accomplishments in favour of political and street scammers.

We need a revolution in all spheres of our national life. We need to raise the f*cking bar real high. We need to!

Liked Sandman especially the episodes where he spent time with his sister death and the one he met up every 100 years with the guy he granted immortality.

That episode with his sister was one of the best episodes in the season 1.

The only reason for all the noise about Rivers is because it was not in their favor. This has been wikes mo for as long as he has been in govt house.

The celebrated wicked wike - serving it to all opposition hot hot and woto woto.

But I did that for about a week on this thread.

I was highlighting soo many irregularities that took place across the different states that showed Obi being rigged in those units. His numbers erased while the opponents were increased.

Well, here are some again, in Lagos ebonyi and imo.
Abi you want us to believe that what happened in rivers was only in rivers state??

MallamChukwudi:
A few weeks ago, I spoke to a Yahoo boy that lives here in Berlin. He was eating at the same Nigerian restaurant I went to eat at, one sunny Sunday.

He thought I was a G boy, so was asking me about some stuff I didn't know about, if I knew someone that deal with bank accounts, or if they could use mine to forward hundreds of thousands of euros.

I told him no, that I am employed, and jokingly complained about how the tax man is billing me yearly for income tax, that I didn't pay enough the previous year.

Then we got talking and he went on to narrate how he envied ordinary folks that go to work daily, the simple calmness in their soul, and how they could access things that he cannot even access even if he has more money than them. I asked for more explanation, and he continued.

He said we do not have the fear of the future, that his affluent reality can come to a stop any day the law ever catches up with him. That when he hears a knock on his door, he fears so deeply to open even if it's the postman.

He will only open the door when he is sure he is expecting someone and the person is around. How he tries not to involve the authority for anything even if it's perfectly legal, due to fear of igniting any event that will shine a torchlight on his affairs that may lead to an arrest.

That ordinary working folk can simply get a mortgage and buy a house, but he can't since that would lead to questioning his source of income. The guilt he felt because of the people he has harmed by stealing from them, and when bad things happen to him, he wonders if it's karma.

He has three daughters and has always wished for a son, but wondered if God gave him only daughters to punish him for his philandering. His three daughters are from two different women.

For him, the most important thing he complained about was peace. He misses having peace, and that peace is priceless. That sometimes, he doesn't sleep long due to unnecessary fear.

His wife also knows the job he does, which hints at her moral failure, and he fears that she will use it against him if there is any conflict between them. His source of income is like a dagger under his belly.

I was not shocked hearing all these, since I understand very well the cause-and-effect nature of things. But it was refreshing hearing all these from him, as it made me appreciate my own struggles. I pitied him, and ask him why don't just stop it.

He responded that he can't. It's the only job he knows, and he has gone so far that he can't be earning wages that won't sustain his lifestyle.
Then I asked how he got a residence since he doesn't work and didn't study. Then he said that was another mistake he regretted.

He came on a visitor visa, was desperate to stay permanently, and impregnated any available woman, to legalize himself.

I was then wondering why he was telling me all these things, which I consider a personal secret. And he said I give the vibe of someone that can empathize, and also, talking about it eases the pain a bit, especially to strangers he won't see again.

He then got a call and left. Probably someone will meet him outside. We shook hands and told me bye. After I finished eating and was about to pay, the waiter informed me that he has paid for my meal. I was thankful but had an unpleasant feeling that he paid for my food with some kind of blood money.

Such an encounter opened my eyes to a reality I have known to exist, but not met anyone in it. It reminds me of the quote that there is no peace for the wicked, no honor amongst thieves, and that what you sow, you shall reap.

to be frank this is the story of illegal immigrants, undocumented workers and nigerians who think they can beat the system in the west.
you cannot beat the system in obodo oyibo. this is why the OGs on this board will tell you make sure you go as a proper white collar worker and work your way legally into the system.

it is not just about the guy being a fraudster, but being a person who snuck in and thought he could somehow game the system.

even the whole marry some chick for papers doesnt work again as everyone eye done open.
