My question still remains.
With all you have listed above
Are there no driver on rental or HP remitting 30k - 40k weekly consistently.

I know people still doing well in this business.

Some of the points you listed are not daily or weekly occurrences.
You can go ahead and do your thing. Just prepare for the inevitables

Someone want to invest 7m to get 2 cars for Uber/bolt. So definitely he will be putting them on rental or HP. He will get drivers to drive the cars and make delivery. My point is are there no drivers still making delivery of 30k - 40k weekly consistently.

Because all I see on this group lately is people saying the business is no go area for investors.
Dem sha dey tell you reality, but you sha dey find motivation....invest , there are plenty drivers out there that can get you 30k/40k weekly, infact you go see 50k as well.

Seems that option will be the best to inform you how the job is.

A lot bro. You should find out, if you don't know. Seun BBQ at Abule oja junction makes far far more than that a day! My friend who owns a bar/restaurant at Moore Road, off University Road, makes far more than that a day. Chowdeck and other delivery bikes comes to pick food steady at his place.
These are businesses you can start with the 1.5m someone wants to use to buy car for uber.

You might want to ask why I'm still running Lagos upandan......I don't have to tell you my plans.

This biz don cast. Na just to keep body and soul, no be to hammer
Boss I go first start wrt to you last post... to a new face or moniker, I'll never shaleye. I remember when me and Pearl they drag this same matter. But all in all, I feel we should cut ourselves some slack. Business full ground, but nah fear we deh fear. At this age I presumed, any mistake, might lead a man to coma. When I was younger, I took so many stupid risk with money and I learnt the lesson of a bird in the hand grin then they will say you can't become a billionaire putting your eggs in different basket. That was how I went to put all my eggs in one basket grin body tell me grin

Truth is I feel we have over flocked this uber thing. In all work all lives, I think they comes a time in a man's life, nothing! Absolutely nothing last forever, proportionately or individually one should know when is time to say gobe. We all are honestly not facing same battle, we didn't come into e hailling same time and obviously won't say goodbye at the same time.

And on business, I feel for every wizkid, igbo has finished many for trying to be like him. All this money we are calling, wizkid can take 30m for a show. How many rider I go carry to make such? I said something about car wash and bar the other day. I have said something about cooking gas depot the other day, I don't know if it cost up to 6m to have one. One can be supplying fuel to hotels and hospitals. The guys selling motor oil at trade fair are making h*ll of money. All these things to me are just inner drive. I don't sit on one thing and even if I stop driving full time, I can always drive some other day till I feel driving is no longer befitting for odogwu again angry

My point is, you can't be encouraging us with business ideas, then go on to list an illegal one as an example.

Anybody making a hell of money by selling Motor Oil in Trade fair is MOST LIKELY selling adulterated ones.

Well, I dig what you are saying, I am not there and I've never been to where they may be doing such. I just have a frind that sells in trade fair. The way they ball in gang is catchy tho. In between I still think those selling quality ones are still making something good. Beside is there anything of quality in this country undecided we are only in God's hands. Even from top companies. There's always this theory that Mobile oil dries up, one that is not good at checking oil, we enter one chance one day.

I met a man long time ago and the question I asked him was why all these funny names on generators and low quality. In his words "nah our people, dem deh go China, go tell them to produce all these substandard qualities". In our resolves, most people can't afford the quality ones, so they help them with budget friendly quality. Just as we are observing today, price of almost everything has gone x2, but with reduced quality.

NB : one thing that seems tiring about this interval better business than Uber thing. We only focus on the negative, people should drop business ideas, at least one could go do a deep search on.

Those people you know doing well in the business, cannot fork out 3.5m for a car just to be doing bolt, considering the reality on ground. That's a bad investment in my opinion.

There will always be a business that is better than the one you are doing, even if na BBQ you dey do.

Everybody should just have the plan of growing. Whenever you feel you need to migrate to something better, please do

Till then, this is an Uber thread, and it is not the worst hustle in the world grin

You mentioned gazzuzz in the other thread. Gazzuzz himself has come out and advised the guy to drop the idea of investing 7m into ehailing.
Gazzuzz said " he won't even break even."
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 9:48am On May 17, 2023
If you have a car already, you can prep it up and join the hustle. Good and fine.
But to go and dump 3.5 million on a car and expect weekly earnings of 35k from your investment. You are in for a rude shock.
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 9:55am On May 17, 2023
The question you should always ask yourself is
"Why do the ehailing companies sidestep or totally avoid issues bordering on buying cars" . The answer is simple. It's better to collect 25% of earnings than to burden yourself with the stress of managing and maintaining cars.
