The Police in Lagos state has secured a court order to keep Afrobeat star Seun Kuti in detention until Monday. The singer was due for bail on Thursday but is now set to spend an additional 4 days in detention pending further police investigation. This was made known by his lawyer Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN) on Thursday during an interview with Channels Tv.

Recall that Seun Kuti landed himself in police net after footage of him slapping a police officer appeared on social media.

An average Nigerian hates the police, I’m not in anyway in support of what he did but the police are no more about what happened at the 3rd mainland bridge, what were they looking for in his house and wife’s phone?

The slap I guess
