I will agree with the bishop if he can swear he is not because of religion, ethnicity or personal interest that makes him supporting whosoever he is supporting going by the antecedents of all the presidential candidates while they were in charge of governance in their respective capacities. Religion leaders to me, should be seen as peacemakers so as to change the narratives of others who do not align with their religions. Heaven is real and hell is real. |

Bishop Onaiyekan, a respected emeritus may lose his dignity soon, he earlier said that the tribunal proceeding should be concluded before May 29 handing over, but now his candidate Peter Obi is demanding 7 more weeks for him to arrange for his witnesses, when May 29 handing over is just a week from now, so the tribunal or handing over should wait for him?. If Peter Obi was declared winner, will Archbishop Onaiyekan suggest that the tribunal should conclude before handing over on May 29 ? 3 Likes 1 Share |

richardokubo:The court is not a father Xmas. Therefore you must play your part to win a case. There's nothing like secret or no secret, you have to frustrate your opponent by any and every means possible, get into their skin and frustrate the bastard out of them. At the end of the day, it's those that won in court that will be called winners, not those that tried to be friendly or play nice. So long as it's legal, do it to win. 1 Like |

This is a big question begging for an answer. Tinubu said he won with the majority of votes cast. Inec announced him as the winner. What now concerns how the court proceeding should be. Is it, not the person with what to hide that would like a secret place? |

Thekaghan:I'm completely taken aback to observe that most of the noise makers here cannot see the difference between politics and judicial process. When Oputa panel was televised, was that politics? It is the right of the citizens to flow with the judicial process which, of course, leave the judges with the final say. Backwardness is indeed a bad spell... they can't even see anything from a balanced perspective - myopic to the very end. |

Imagine Tinubu on the dock answering lawyers what business he was doing with drug Lords in Chicago.? Tinubu would never allow that, instead the PEPT would stop sitting. |

This archbishop is so openly partisan. Don't we ever learn? Even the kings and traditional rulers have shown more decorum. Leaves much to the desired, and the true gospel is more hurt ultimately. |

There is no live broadcast yet and we hear of Peter Obi asking for 7 weeks for witness and other things. This is someone who kept using the media to say all sorts against INEC and APC and how the judgement should be speedy. All these politicians are all the same. LP, APC and PDP. They are all thieves |

This PE has really given decerning Nigerians a glimpse into the mindset of many people. Most so-called MOGs, celebrities, etc, are die-hard politrickcians blinded by parochial and clannish sentiments. After all the hulabaloo, the next straw to grab hold on is the "mandatory" live telecast of the court proceedings because in their skewed thoughts, the judiciary would be or already compromised. When courts give judgements in their favour, the judiciary becomes the last hope of the common man or it's victory for democracy! Emeritus Archbishop, wake up from your unbeffiting role of a rabble-rouser! It's an ill wind that would most likely bring your hard-earned reputation of over the years into utter irredeemable disrepute. Be guided,Sir! |
