Judgment was delivered on 25 march except 60 days starts counting from the date of filing
Yes, Date of filing appeal....14 days after judgement of the lower Court

Yeah, I know that once the Supreme Court resolves the case in favour of Tinubu then the double nomination leg of Obi’s petition will automatically be struck out.

Since the plaintiffs already lost at FHC and Appeal Court, I don’t see SC ruling anything different; more so when it’s against Tinubu.
Hahahahahahahaha..... Your last line.

That's some good news. I remember the governorship election that held in Bayelsa some years ago and how The winner, David Lyons deputy was sacked as a result of inconsistencies in his names on the nomination forms

Good morning my boy.

You’re coming to terms with reality. Some of us told you that Tinubu will not be President even for a Sec, but you guys doubted.

We all remember how Lyon was rehearsing a day before his supposed inauguration, before he got the shocker of his life. History will repeat itself.

Watch out for Friday and if any APC Thug does love-vendor, na to the great beyond straight.
Lol! Don’t be too confident sha.

I don’t see Supreme Court doing any magic against Tinubu.

SC has said Section 285 doesn't give locus for pre-election cases but only defines what it is.
Yes,we had similar debate during pdp vs alia.since qualification is a ground at the tribunal,it might come up there

“An appeal from a decision in a pre-election matter shall be filed within 14 days from the date of delivery of the judgement appealed against”.

285(12)
“An appeal from a decision of a court in a pre-election matter shall be heard and disposed of within 60 days from the date of filing of the appeal”

This is for pre election and not for post election.I was mistaken

What is difference between Lawan/Akpabio and this one? When the Supreme had already ruled on Lawan and Akpabio cases.

Honestly,I am afraid of that case immediately I heard it was fixed on the 26.I recalled what happened to david Lyon.while it is not the business of pdp on who apc noninates, this transcends intra party nomination.when you are nominated in two constituencies or by two parties,it is a general violation of the electoral act which can no longer be hidden by intra party matters.section 29 did not cover double nomination.jegede vs aketi is another citation
The case they referenced has to do with an individual being nominated by 2 parties, it is not the same as an individual being nominated for two positions within a single party. APC already has a reference case (Ahmed Lawan) in this regard and they they won it. Additionally, disqualifying Shettima does not invalidate Tinubu’s candidacy or his election. Someone need to let Obidients know this. All these petty allegations won’t make the court rule against Tinubu. The Judges at the court don’t make decisions by emotion but rather by facts. Obi will have to prove that he won Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, Zamfara and other states, remember the burden of proof is on him and not Tinubu or INEC.

Just like in bayelsa, disq shettima affects tinubu.lawan matter of contesting primaries twice wasn't an issue before the court, machina issue was that he wanted to be declared winner.

I have removed my hands from anything politics, especially these Tinubu/Obi case, what will be will be, I'm not rooting for any of them, they don't even know how most Nigerians survive.

In akpabio and lawan cases, their double nominations were never raised before the court.anyway, what will help tinubu is that any pre election matter must be brought by an aspirant while post election is brought by candidates...oyetola vs pdp supra will suffice

Oga disqualifying Shettima will invalidate Tinubu's election. That is exactlly what happened to David Lyon.

BTW Obi does not have to win Katsina,Kadunna,Kano nor Zamfara to win the elctions.GEJ did not win any of the states you mentioned in 2011

True sha.since the main nomination is with tinubu who contested primaries, his double nominations might not matter.

Depends on the disposition of the Judges....

In Uche Nwosu, it was past 14 days but the SC said an ignoble act cannot be emasculated on the basis of technicalities.

Augie JSC who took the lead ruling, insisted that it is void candidature and all that, irrespective the fact that it was filed past 14 days.

This Court on Friday will do one of four:
- It is two different Constituencies (Senate and Vice-Presidency).
- It is void and void, a la Nwosu
- It is a pre-election matter and had expired past 180 days.
- There is no proof or enough evidence to justify the suit.

I believe the SC will go for 1 & 4 but they can never go No 2.

Obidiotssssss are living a life of frustration. The supreme court will dismiss the case for lack of locus by the PDP/Atiku. They lack the locus stadi to institute the matter. Thanks to the new electoral act.

But as usual obidiotssssss love grabbing on straws. Lol 🤣🤣

Inyang okoro is heading the panel.I wonder who the other members are.
I believe the sc made that nwosu ruling per incuriam and later corrected itself by holding strictly to timeline
