Ignorance and western media influence

This isn't Nigerians image, it's the perception the media like you to see

63,000 people lost their life in 8years out of 200m... Compare that to how many people got killed in American Gun violence, or SouthAfrican street gangs violence

Nigerians have Millions of graduate who attended local University with pride, many serve the country yearly.... The few elite that get their kids to Europe do that because of Classism and wealth

Nigerians Work anywhere there is Job... Gambia, Afghanistan, even Russia and Ukraine

Nigeria is a country of 200,000,000 people... Most stuff you see on the media is just the foreign perception

Hardly would you go to Nigerian cinemas and see patronage of American movie than Local movie, same as our music

Also about weaves ... Many ladies don't even have them, Northern Nigerian women are infact completely different from such stereotype

You shouldn't blame a Nigerian who prefers "the abroad" than Nigeria.

I am happier living here in the UK than Nigeria because unlike people in the UK, Nigerian have no faith, no confidence in the government and it's institutions. The government on the other hand do not care to build confidence in their citizens but are exploitative and oppressive.

Worst is the known fact that Nigeria and Nigerians are corrupt to the superlative degree. Since law and order are selective, money and the rich worshipped and a wide disparity exist between the rich and the poor, situations like the ones you listed will only continue.

In fact, I have got better things to do than discuss Nigeria!

Op, Nothing can be done.

You can't vote corrupt politicians into power and expect them to fight the same people who gave him power.

You can't bite the fingers that fed you.

The reason why Tinubu is turning his back on Ganduje this early is because he did little or nothing to give him the expected votes from Kano state. And that's what would've played out if we voted a neutral person to lead this country without the support of the little fraction of the corrupt politicians.

We have "hell-years" to endure and to enjoy the suffering.

Op, not all you mentioned are true. Nigerians are experiencing poor economy. If all things are right, we all prefer home-made, home based, in short locals to foreign.

My friend do not argue with the facts, accept reality and try to deal with it.
Most of the Nigerians dreams is to go abroad for green pastures and it needs to change.

For example how many Nigerians watch Nigerian soccer league compared to EPL.

Nigerians mindset needs to change, and the first thing to do is to accept the problem

The reason North Nigerian ladies don’t wear weaves is because they don’t like them or they don’t have money to buy them.

About music and movies, I beg to differ.
Tell us about soccer? Do they prefer local also?

Some like sports some don't, some want to travel aka Japa some don't

The economy status will not change as long as Nigerian don't change their mindset. to buy local, to watch local soccer, to watch local movies will benefit Nigeria economy.

in South Africa specifically in Cape Town less than 50 people get killed by Gang violence in a year. again we cannot talk about statistics because Nigeria does not have proper stats. for example we don't know the exact population number of Nigeria, because of Nigerians don't have ID numbers.

The solution to every problem is to first realise the problem itself, everything you said up there is nothing but the truth about Nigerians. How can you promote your economy when we don't invest or plan locally to improve our environment. The mindset of Nigerians is so corrupt and full of negativity towards themselves and the country.

Wrong assumptions, some of us only want to travel as a form of education, to have a wider view of life outside our immediate environment. The percentage of japa is even low compare to the population.

That is the problem, why you don’t want to study in Nigeria, do you undermine Nigeria education system?
Learn from South Africans, they don’t have plans to go outside South Africa for whatever reasons.

Most Nîgeriàns don't dream of going abroad.
Most Nîgeriàns just like every hûmañ being on earth wants to travel and see places not going to stay abroad.
I for one has ÑÈVÈR harboured the dream of going to live in Europe, America or any other part of Africa.
Comparing football leagues is another lame form of statistics.
Do u know the quantity of Americans that watch EPL as compared to their MLS?
Does that mean they want to leave America?
Brazilians watch their league with passion does that mean Brazil is far better than England?
Sports development is d difference.

U said Nigèriàñs should be patriotic yet you don't show patriotism, u will choose what a western association that doñ't care about u say rather than what ur góvèrñment says.
A publication by world bank says about 52% of Nîgeriàns live in Urban areas, also 37% of Nîgeriàns have internet access.
Do these statistics rhyme?
Yet Nîgeriàns will believe this over what the government has to say.
