Lesson learnt: when you buy a 70m worth car but couldn't invest in a 20k fire extinguisher, you becomes kobo wise, Naira foolish.

Cars are huge liabilities.

Not worth chunk of one's investments.

I paid for comprehensive insurance for my new car.

I was the victim of a deep scratch not up to 12 inches long.

The number of forms that I have to fill for insurance to process the case. Oh my God!

Well, let me complete the process first.

I might write about how it went.

Not gonna lie, the fact our vehicle insurance issues at the time were handled by the company insurance officer made resolution of any car issue go smoothly. Also my understanding is that it is sometimes better to use insurance for major issues because your premiums can go up every time you have a claim.

You have a point about allowing insurance to handle only major events.

Let us say this is target practice for future such unfortunate events.

Like I never knew that I had to take down the details of the vehicle that gave my new whip chips in the windscreen. Now I do.

I also know that I need to file a police report. I never knew before.

Trust me I know Accra very well and I know the garage that rented out this car. They’ve numerous luxury cars as well. Those folks involved are headed to a funeral with a rental car
