did the sorry fix the scratch that’s the question did it fix it ? Did the statement attain consciousness and physical presence to fix the scratch?

Same thing Buhari did. After woeful years studying in maladministration and stark economic destruction, he graduated as a failure, and seeing that his shame is resplendent in many iniquities, he shamelessly asked Nigerians to forgive him. What an ineffable shame!

May God punish him for putting his kinsmen and women under the bus and may he be deported so he can come back and enjoy Nigeria

Now the world now knows exactly who you people are 😝
Tribal stigmatization based on one person's ill behaviour is just proof of low IQ. Lots of yorubas including me have called the boy's interview and thoughts needless and stewpid. The earlier u cleanse ur mind of this tribal hate , the better for all of us as a people...it never made sense, it still doesn't make sense and it will not make sense. The same tribal hatred that you lot spread amongst the people while uzor kalu, tinubu, wike, Elrufai are bonding despite tribal n political differences to condemn u to a life of struggle..continue fooling yourselves

Those attacking the guy on twitter are just transferring aggression Tinubu will be inaugurated May 29 uk & us envoys will be present 🤣🤣

Nothing insultive.......Just that the Majority of the men from his tribe are very lousy! Mouth always at Ajar! moral of the story is always learn to connect your toungue to your brain before you speak!

Always tribal bigots - Yorubas and their lousy nature. Even supporting a terrorist and drug dealer to rule over our beloved country. Save your apologies and deal with the consequences.

I sincerely don't understand why Nigerians HATE to hear the truth and HATE anyone who speaks the truth.

I just don't get it. It's a very destructive mindset, to hate the truth instead of learning and adjusting to it.

And of course Nigerians love and embrace lies - like " there is nothing like fuel subsidy" or "fuel subsidy doesn't exist".

In this particular matter, Mr Tiamiyu told the truth that Nigerians are abusing UK academic visas. If that's the case, there's no need to criticize the person who just said the truth. All he did was say what everyone knows is happening. The data is there to support his statements. Haba, the comments here make it seem he would be worthy of your praise if he LIED in public, on a BBC interview. Come on!

No surprise that Nigerians have run down their own country to the point it's the official Poverty Capital of the world.
Nigerians, we have to do better, things can't go on like this. It just can't. sad Nobody with a desire to do what is right can feel safe among Nigerians.

Good Luck to Nigeria!

Have you sat back to ask yourself why it was a Nigerian the BBC approached for an interview ? were other Nationals not involved doing the same thing on a hush hush? they found the weakest link and it happened to be the Lousy yoruba guy as usual who would spill the beans and destroy the opportunities for other genuine students!

This is not about saying the truth, its about Patriotism and minding your own business, afterall the UK is not your country, live and let others live. If he wants to tell the truth he should have remained in Nigeria to be an activist but he Japa also. let the owners of the country do as they so please but don't be the PUN to put the icing on the cake period.

Half truth is a lie. Some people are there genuinely for the school.

The real issue is the ABUSE of student visas. Yes many are legit but there is abuse. Simple issue to understand and the government of the UK did something about it.

I know Nigerians are used to lazy, uncaring and corrupt government but standards are higher in Anglo-Western nations.

Sorry.

BBC approached a Nigerian - tribe has nothing to do with it - to get the opinion of a Nigerian on an issue affecting Nigerians. Standard practice to make a story balanced.

Other nationals may have done the same thing but Nigerians were the worst abusers of the system. The data is there, it has been cited in this discussion.

Those that are in Nigeria should try and do the right thing in Nigeria to fix the country.

The same dishonesty that Nigerians are practicing in the UK is also what has ruined Nigeria. Not surprising that Nigerians can condemn an HONEST statement of fact AND then make it a tribal matter too.

Nigeria is doomed. There's no fixing it. Telling the truth is now culturally unacceptable among Nigerians. Carry on!

Tufia!

It doesn't change the fact that he lied. Hasty generalisation is his crime. Its just like saying Nigerians are all 419s just because some people are into it.
