I just bought a package on fiverr, and I noticed I had to pay a whooping 18.4% extra in addition to the total cost. The 18.4% extra comprises VAT and service charge.

In other words, if you bought a package priced $1000, you will pay additonal $184 which will now total $1184.

If this isn't day light robbery what else is it??

The unfortunate thing here is that I really need the service of some guys on the platform. I'm already thinking of how to contact the seller and take the business off their yeye fraud platform.

Haba, at most, 10% everything is manageable.

What package are you looking to buy. If it isn't coding related, work with a Nigerian using an escrow and pay in Naira without their charges.

They are not criminals, it takes hard work to keep the platform running and that's how they make their money in other to sustain the business.

If you buy a gig that is low in price the service charge won't be much.

Mind you the platform is there to protect buyers and sellers, this means you get your money back completely if the seller can not deliver or present the gig on time

I understand that they need money to keep the platform, but almost 20% charge is daylight rubbery. It doesn't make sense at all

We have a lot of talented coders and 3d artists here in Nigeria, trust me, whatever package you're looking for, you will find someone here in Naija that can handle it

If you want backlink or anything related to blogging fivver and Upwork is not where you should be going

Many there provide shitty service.

After they take the $184 and give the seller $1000, they’ll still subtract another $200 from the seller, so he gets $800

Nonsense and ingredients...absolute rubbish. I now understand why services there are so expensive. Thank God I'm not a seller on the yeye platform. I can't be doing baboon dey work monkey dey chop.
