GloriousGbola:Buharis selling point was being anti corruption and to him he kept things simple for his level and understanding He has his favorites as long as they fit the no nonsense tag of incorruptible E.g He believes keeping the ministry of petroleum under him us the best way to curb corruption Buhari is like that man who will never trust technology or anything modern and believe using excel spreadsheet is a way to cheat him, rather he will use abacus or his big screen calculator from 1975 Like that man who believes using ATM or online banking is suspicious and does all transaction physically at the counter. After a while he will realize that the old methods are inefficient and not better but he would be too proud to admit he is wrong. These methods can work if our population was just 10m and in 1972 |

GloriousGbola:Regarding the military, that's a wrong take. Buhari is the best thing that has ever happened to the Nigerian Military After shagari. Nigerian military is a much better fighting force than ever before. |

liveLongNprospa:Prices of goods have been increasing. The inflation is global and is not Nigeria thing.. Everyone has the right to complain. Inflation is affecting everyone . My joy was Buhari stopped the importation of some of the things we can produce here ( import substitution) unlike Jonathan that was given forex to everyone thereby loosing huge amount of money as a government then. We will reap the benefits of all these as time passes by. Yeah, we are the biggest economy in Africa and we should be doing better. No doubt Our purchasing power parity (PPP) based on GDP should be number 1 in Africa but we are behind Egypt the last time I checked. |

raumdeuter:He did oversaw some stupid policy that has no bearing on the reality of most Nigerian. That border closing was an archaic policy that didn't achieve any positive result. |

Shaytun:The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Where are the decisive wins against boko haram? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 12:53pm On May 27, 2023 |
GloriousGbola:I will say Boko Haram has been weakened compared to when he took over and they were bombing regularly in the entire NE and even come to Abuja The proof you are seeking is in the significant reduction in bombings by BokoHaram done with such regularity that churches and mosques had to close down. There was a year when to enter church they screen people for bombs they even stopped all crossover service Another form of security challenge in herdsmen and bandit have come up which are not well defined have no flags no boundaries and this takes more than conventional warfare to battle With Bokoharam they can be compared with dealing with Alqaeda that you can target with bombs and drones, bandits are like home grown militias or even school shooters where this innocent looking boy in the day can become a daredevil at night |

iamoyindamola:I can only defend Buhari on infrastructure, institution and Military, he failed on the other aspect of governance. |

Segedinho:There are people feeding 3 times today with no qualms, there were people unable to feed in Jonathan times as well |

monerozi5590:Lmaooo. What did stopping the importation do for us? Did it create a competitive market or benefit the masses? Did we get food cheaper or did we still have shortages because production could not even meet up to demand.. Also don't forget this Now tell us about the number of deaths under buhari in comparison to Jonathan. Tell us the debt profile under buhari in comparison to Jonathan. Tell us the FDI under buhari in comparison to Jonathan (let me help you.. The lowest for Jonathan was 3billion dollars.. For buhari its currently about 400m) |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 1:15pm On May 27, 2023 |
Should we compare the number of poor people under buhari to Jonathan? 😂😂 Should we compare unemployment numbers? Which is it? There are some hills you look at and just avoid even if you are using it to set standard for tinubu 😂 |

Shaytun:Infrastructure kindly list them Institution that turned 4 years course to 5 and half, we had the longest strike during his tenure Military: BH is still in sambisa infact they decided to form another group and still causing havoc in borno |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Shaytun: 1:20pm On May 27, 2023 |
GloriousGbola:You are seriously asking me this?? At the height of the insurgency, Boko haram was controlling an area the size of Belgium in Nigeria, Collecting taxes and performing government role to almost a million people. Boko haram the greatest threat to Nigeria since the Civil war has been decimated completely, they have lost over 90% of their fighting force. I watched an Airforce documentary where the current chief of Air staff, Air Marshall Oladayo Amo said they used to fly Airforce jets from Yola to Sambisa or lake chad just to release few rounds of ammo, sometimes they flew jets just to use the sound to intimidate Boko haram fighters in an active Warzone!!!! Flying a distance of about 150km to release few rounds, the rot Jonathan and Dasuki caused to the Military, it can never be quantified. Because there was no ammo!!! He had to request the the Airforce chief to release practice dud rockets from NDA just so they can at-least shoot something!! We had to employ service of Ukranian pilots to fly second hand MI-24 and MI-35 attack helicopters, because our trained Pilots were lost to commercial airline operators. Do you know how many Pilots have been trained by the buhari administration? Over 200 new pilots, with state of the art platforms. Over 100,000 terrorist surrendered!!!. It has never happened anywhere before in the world. https://www.thecable.ng/zulum-90k-terrorists-have-surrendered-in-one-year-its-never-happened-anywhere-in-the-world#:~:text=Zulum%3A%2090%2C000%20terrorists%20have%20surrendered%20in%20one%20year%20%E2%80%94%20it's%20never,happened%20anywhere%20in%20the%20world&text=Babagana%20Zulum%2C%20governor%20of%20Borno,in%20the%20last%20one%20year. Nigeria Moved from being most terrorized country in the world in 2015 to not even appearing in Top 5. https://www.pulse.ng/news/local/nigeria-drops-from-6th-to-8th-most-terrorised-country-in-the-world/mhh2c1z https://reliefweb.int/report/world/global-terrorism-index-2023#:~:text=Afghanistan%20and%20Pakistan%20remain%20amongst,from%20292%20deaths%20in%202021. We went from over 6,000 terrorism death in 2015 to less than 300 in 2023

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Shaytun: 1:26pm On May 27, 2023 |
iamoyindamola:When I said institution, I'm not implying Education or tertiary Institution. I meant government institution. Nobody is causing havoc in Borno, the only thing ISWAP and BH are doing now is surrendering, there was just around 234 deaths due to terrorist activity last year over when we use to have over 7, 000 death in a year. If you don't see that as progress, then I don't know what to tell you. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Shaytun: 1:27pm On May 27, 2023 |
iamoyindamola:That's because you think Insecurity is static, It's not. Security challenges are dynamic, and you need a multi-layered approach to solve them. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by monerozi5590: 1:28pm On May 27, 2023 |
liveLongNprospa:I have explained the bolded here already. I will appreciate if you will look at the bigger picture. On insecurity and death. This is a very sensitive issue. The same way I cannot go to the family of a soldier that just lost his life in the process of fighting banditry and tell them the army are not doing anything to fight banditry because that will be a stupid thing to say is the same way I won't tell you Buhari has done enough in handling insecurity. No matter how low or high the deaths are, it will be stupid for me to compare Buhari didn't handle the security challenges very well and I have said it here before. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Shaytun: 1:30pm On May 27, 2023 |
iamoyindamola:On Infrastructure, let me give you an example. Over 9,000 Km of new Road was Constructed by this administration. That has never been achieved by any government administration in nigeria. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 1:37pm On May 27, 2023 |
iamoyindamola:Yes and it happens all the time. When you weaken a force its commonplace for them to break apart and form guerrillas |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Shaytun: 1:44pm On May 27, 2023 |
liveLongNprospa:FDI under Buhari. 2015 = 3.06B 2016 = 3.45B 2017 = 2.41B 2018 = 780 million dollars 2019 = 2.3B 2020 = 2.4B 2021 = 4.8B Total = 19.2B Note: Nigeria went through a recession, a Global Pandemic , a lower oil price and insecurity Under Buhari. FDI under Jonathan 2010 = 6.03B 2011 = 8.84B 2012 = 7.07B 2013 = 5.56B 2014 = 4.69B 2015 = 3.06B Total = 35.25B Note: Nigeria was in an active state of terrorism, a higher oil price Under Jonathan. |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:03pm On May 27, 2023 |
This is very clear : BUHARI FAILED WOEFULLY AS FAR AS INSECURITY IS CONCERNED ! Those that want to keep deceiving themselves can continue . Here are facts and figures backing his failure up. PS: It is a mischievous half truth when people say Boko Haram was controlling an area the size of Belgium when Buhari took over in 2015. While it is true Boko Haram controlled some areas at a point in Jonathan’s administration, it is also true that some of the areas were reclaimed . In fact elections happened in those areas and the APC won the presidential election thanks to million of votes that came from Borno , Adamawa and Yobe(which are the areas being referred to) Jonathan even visited the areas before the election . Most people will remember the elections were postponed for this same reason

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 2:08pm On May 27, 2023 |
BlueRayDick:Jonathan visiting an area is evidence that there was no terrorism? How many bomb blast have you heard compared to under Jonathan. It won't kill to admit some progress was made on the Bokoharam front while still maintaining there is a lot to be done on other fronts |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 2:10pm On May 27, 2023 |
iamoyindamola:So people whose houses and farms have been destroyed will just return There are refugee from Liberian war Sierraleone war, Iraq war Afghanistan war that have not returned home till date What is the scale of Bokoharam in 2013 compared to now? Is that progress or not? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:11pm On May 27, 2023 |
raumdeuter:Read the screenshot punch editorial attached to my post u replied to. It acknowledged Buhari’s gains in reducing Boko Haram incidents by 92 per cent but also stated that Killer herdsmen replaced Boko Haram and racked the numbers up . My thoughts are in agreement with that position. Here is the link to the punch editorial. Read it (especially the insecurity part) and tell urself Buhari did well in stemming insecurity https://punchng.com/buhari-regime-many-promises-few-achievements/?amp |

iamoyindamola:You mean the trains, the bridge, the roads have no economic impact on those using the road? Maybe we should stop asking govt to do roads then since they have no impact Let them remove the existing roads so we can test the economic impact theory |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 2:15pm On May 27, 2023 |
BlueRayDick:From the screenshot what was the number of people killed by Herdsmen and bandit before Buhari or the people of NorthCentral never experienced herdsmen and bandit killings before Buhari? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:17pm On May 27, 2023 |
raumdeuter:Oh…. Are u not the one who is out defending Buhari’s insecurity records ? U should be the one supplying data negating what was presented na. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 2:19pm On May 27, 2023 |
BlueRayDick:Okay we accept. Herdsmen and bandit never killed anyone before Buhari. They only started during Buhari times. When Jonathan was president the entire Northcentral was peaceful without any herdmen bandit killing Yet na you go say person dey turn amala |
