Whether he announce it or not, oil marketers knew he will definitely remove it as it is not in the budget from June. Some filling stations have stopped selling since Saturday. The price of fuel was set to rise in the next few days in anticipation of the subsidy removal so formal announcement by the President is the right thing to do. Scarcity will disappear when Dangote refinery start operations in July.
