Look at what the country secret service security agency has been reduced to

"Mr Tinubu’s many controversies, from perjury, multiple identities, corruption to documented drug-trafficking, are also beginning to embolden the country’s darker instincts, with politicians, officials and security operatives, making a show of competing for who is the baddest gangster."

Lol
So if you force them to sell today, will you bring them out from their homes to sell tomorrow?
A leader should have emotional intelligence. A leader should know that the country is tensed already and people will react to any small information. Subsidy will be removed, why not keep the damn information for now till your team has figured out how to go about it.

Normally Nigerians are heartless sha, in all spheres of life, Nigerians are wicked. They milk every little situation, they don't care about anything but their own pockets. It's still this sane wickedness that brought tinubu to power.

Is this a joke or what?
They don't understand what market based economy is?
The stations have a right to sell at the price they feel is appropriate.
The announcement by baba blabulu was rash and not properly thought out,but going back to the subsidy regime is out of it because prices that have been increased as a result of the subsidy removal, will not be reversed by the average greedy Nigerian,if the subsidy is reinstated or a higher, but not totally deregulated price fixed.
The only downside to this subsidy removal is that Dangote may enjoy monopoly of supplying petroleum products to the country,so may fix the price at whatever he wants.

Any fuel station owner that like, they should close indefinitely from tomorrow. Buhari made a budget for subsidy from January 2023- June 2023, it makes no sense for filling stations that enjoyed subsidy to start increasing price for no sane reason.

Subsidy will end on the last day of June

That's where emotional intelligence of a leader and his advisers comes in, that's what they are being paid in millions to figure out.

Yes subsidy should go, but why remove subsidy without any refinery refining petrol?, ok why announce it at a very critical period like handover where the atmosphere is tensed?
See the ripple effects of the announcement.

What of if you didn't open at all at all. Will they come and lock it too?
Or will u go to their houses to drag them out?

When in the history of this country has using fear and intimidation as an instrument in the private sector ever worked?

Removal of subsidy will increase the sufferings of the masses. Tinubu knows this.

It is only removing the money from the hands of certain group of criminals rich men (Marketers) and giving to another group -Politicians. They monies will be looted and shared by politicians.
Tinubu will be the last person to disturb anybody for looting.

It was not an important thing to disclose in the inauguaral speech, but he has to include it to stylishly let the people know that he isnt the one that removed the subsidy (In his words, the budget before him does not make provision for fuel subsidy).

People should just brace up the difficulties ahead

Are you minding them?

I don’t just understand some Nigerians. You’re deviating from the truth but sticking to shadows..

Fuel marketers are wanting to play a fast one to make x5 profits but some people kept on acting as if it’s normal..

Wait, do you know that up till now, the fuel people are still buying fuel at subsidized date? So why buying at subsidized rate but wanting to sell at higher prices to make x5 profits?

Previous government removed the subsidy and it effects starts by June, ending..

This is tinubu’s speech below, what’s rash about this;

FUEL SUBSIDY

We commend the decision of the outgoing administration in phasing out the petrol subsidy regime which has increasingly favoured the rich more than the poor. Subsidy can no longer justify its ever-increasing costs in the wake of drying resources. We shall instead re-channel the funds into better investment in public infrastructure, education, health care and jobs that will materially improve the lives of millions.

This is a lack of understanding of basic capitalism and market principles. You can’t just send thugs to control the prices of a commodity.

Imagine your Secret Police mounting pressure on fuel marketers to sell product @ regulated prices not minding how the market is being reorganized by the foolish statement Thîefnubu made just recently.

When a dunce who is not qualified to be a motor park jester becomes a president, this is what you would surely get. It's an aftermath of your decision @ the polling unit. Enjoy it while it lasts😋😋
