Some people turned this election to an Igbo vs Yoruba affair. They made mockery of the igbos as though the igbos lost and they won. I laugh at such stupidity.

No section or tribe in the country will get any preferential treatment, whatever hardship that bites the goose will also bite the gander grin

So what will happen to a bag of rice, FMCGs, essential medicines, road transport fares, etc?

When the President says unification of the Dollar ,does he mean unified to CBN's N460 or the real market's N750 to the Dollar- as the easiest to do is unification to N750.

Fixed exchange rates have never worked in Nigeria. It just fuels the very lucrtaive biz of round-tripping.
What caused that huge Gap between the black market and official rate was the forex ban on certain goods And services by Buhari thereby increasing demand for forex from the black market. the forex ban should be revisited, it'll help to bridge the Gap.

As at 11a.m I have spent 700 naira, before 5pm I should have spent roughly 1,500. What usually cost me 600 naira on a normal day.

Tinubu administration is about to kick off in a bad note
Imagine federal ministry departments and agencies have not been payed may salary
Now fuel price gone up to 500+

Before they usually gets thier salary Before 28 of every month

It is about to get worse for Nigerians

The truth and happy thing about Tinubu's administration is am not gonna pity anyone anymore since have realised that the masses are the problem of Nigeria
A south African friend told me that if tinubu gets more than hundred vote in this election then it means Nigerians are sick and the tribalism hidden in us is out openly
Yolobas are problem of Nigeria due to their acute tribalism.

Laconically speaking, subsidy is GONE as mentioned in the inaugural speech was as good as pronouncing any other items of the speech which is not bad.

The removal is obviously not effective yet. People need to see this and focus on the sellers/marketers who are hoarding the fuel in an attempt at to sell at a higher rate.

Price regulation is important to cushion the subsidy fraud, and I hope government will look into it.

But I thought Obidīots that bought SUBSIDISED fuel at the rate of ₦177 won't sell it for more than ₦185, which is the official price.

TO EVERY PETROL STATION OWNER SELLING FUEL THEY BOUGHT AT SUBSIDISED PRICE FOR MORE THAN ₦185, IT WILL NEVER BE WELL WITH YOU ALL.

YOU ALL WILL LABOUR IN VAIN AND WON'T USE THE EXPLOITATIVE PROFIT FOR ANYTHING GOD BY GOD'S GRACE.
I just confirmed that you are jobless

No matter the price of transportation, Nigerians are better off without the subsidy, my own take is that, they should remove it completely, not that tomorrow, they will come back again to say they want to remove subsidy.
The problem is that after removing the subsidy. Will they not still loot the money.

I suggest an independent body should invest and tie these monies to some capital projects.

They should first fix the nations four refineries.

Peter Obi literally gave Tinubu a template on how to remove fuel subsidy. Still Baalablu's drug infested brain couldn't utilize it.

Subsidy is gone. This means price of petroleum products is left to market forces. Gov will no longer determine how much a fuel station decides to sell. Some can decide not to sell, some can decided to charge 2k per liter. It is their market. Ultimately, buyers will decide which fuel station is cheaper for them to buy, the more expensive ones will have fewer customers forcing then to reduce prices.
There cannot be price regulation in anyway, if not, it is still subsidy.
When you say marketers are hoarding the fuel to get higher prices, if you were in their shoes, wount you do the same? Assuming they sell their stock at 190 per liter, where will they now see capital to restock when depot loading price would have increased 2,3,4 folds.

Your "wonderful" Obi said he will remove subsidy immediately he takes over. Unfortunately, he didn't. Would you have made this comment if he had won & done as promised? Meanwhile, note that Jagaban isn't even the one that removed subsidy; PMB did. Check the 2023 budget for clarity
