Some people turned this election to an Igbo vs Yoruba affair. They made mockery of the igbos as though the igbos lost and they won. I laugh at such stupidity. No section or tribe in the country will get any preferential treatment, whatever hardship that bites the goose will also bite the gander ![]() |

lavylilly:What caused that huge Gap between the black market and official rate was the forex ban on certain goods And services by Buhari thereby increasing demand for forex from the black market. the forex ban should be revisited, it'll help to bridge the Gap. |

IamNat:The problem is that after removing the subsidy. Will they not still loot the money. I suggest an independent body should invest and tie these monies to some capital projects. They should first fix the nations four refineries. |

Peter Obi literally gave Tinubu a template on how to remove fuel subsidy. Still Baalablu's drug infested brain couldn't utilize it.

Hamachi:Subsidy is gone. This means price of petroleum products is left to market forces. Gov will no longer determine how much a fuel station decides to sell. Some can decide not to sell, some can decided to charge 2k per liter. It is their market. Ultimately, buyers will decide which fuel station is cheaper for them to buy, the more expensive ones will have fewer customers forcing then to reduce prices. There cannot be price regulation in anyway, if not, it is still subsidy. When you say marketers are hoarding the fuel to get higher prices, if you were in their shoes, wount you do the same? Assuming they sell their stock at 190 per liter, where will they now see capital to restock when depot loading price would have increased 2,3,4 folds. |

MetroLane:Your "wonderful" Obi said he will remove subsidy immediately he takes over. Unfortunately, he didn't. Would you have made this comment if he had won & done as promised? Meanwhile, note that Jagaban isn't even the one that removed subsidy; PMB did. Check the 2023 budget for clarity |
