FG to commercialise solar powered tricycles for transportation in Nigeria.
“I want to use this opportunity to also say that we have put it in the 2018 budget to be implemented in 2019 because in the 2018 budget we have what we called green transportation, which under it we have the solar-powered tricycles”-Rotimi Amaechi, the minister of transportation.

Amaechi I am not sure Ekweremadu was consulted o. Or didn’t you hear his response to Ben Murray Bruce’s electric vehicle bill, that we cannot encourage them as we are still a crude oil producing country.

You should ask questions instead of remarking as if you are an expert in the subject.

What is there in maintaining a solar-powered tricycle?

This simply offers a huge opportunity for skills development, industrialization, job creation and resource optimization. Hence, it is commendable.

It will also serve to enhance the government's commitment to the global climate change agreement as well as the SDGs.

Do you even know what other countries are doing?

Have you had about Cool Roofs and Green Buildings in Nigeria?
