Bro it is the market condition. Think nao!

Food is less costly in the North and more costly in the SW. How many times have you seen me as a Yoruba man blame the Hausa and Buhari for that?

That’s because the food originate from the North. They will factor in transportation cost which will make it costlier when it get down south. It’s basic economics and you don’t need too much thinking to deduce that.

Every region have their own comparative advantage. It is not Yoruba people that says your Ibo ancestors should choose land without access to the Ocean.
Buhari or any FG agency don't fix price of food stuff. Why can you guys reason properly for once.

According to legend … southwest is now in Niger delta grin

When you see this people display tribalism and give silly reasons .. you laugh

When I say .. Yoruba people believe .. Nigerians reasons like Yoruba ..

Now fuel is cheaper in west and he’s telling us how food is grown and cheap In north grin

These people can be very funny. Imagine trying to justify rubbish because it favours them. They think they're wise while other Nigerians are foolish.

Imagine fuel cheaper in Ekiti state that has no drop of oil and also landlocked but more expensive in Delta and Akwa Ibom that are major oil producing states and also coastal

Imagine selling fuel at 500 in Oyo state but 540 in Kano and 557 in Maiduguiri?

Tinubu has truly proven already that he does not believe in one Nigeria. He wants to transfer Nigeria's wealth to his people completely. Imagine the audacity!

NNPC are fixing it for themselves. Other stations will set their own price as soon as the Subsidy come mainstream.

You’ll have multiple marketers bringing petrol into the country and they sell at their own rate. Each filling station can then decide amount to sell.

Check the below. You can see it state that it’s ONLY for NNPC.

Lesser than South west? PORT is in Lagos, Warrington and Rivers. Why is lagos cheaper than Delta and Rivers

Because Lagos port is more efficient.

I just saw NNPC new list and it showed that fuel will be sold cheapest in the South West and most costly in the North. Why such wickedness? Is it because Tinubu is a Yoruba man and has decided to punish other Nigerians more?

Is this what emilokan is all about?

Already, three of the people he has employed to work for him are all Yorubas!

I hope it's not what I'm thinking because Nigerians will collectively resist him and his bigotry.

Below is the new price list from NNPC!

Why are food commodities cheap in the North and very expensive in South ??

Proximity or not, it doesn't make sense! Nigerians in all regions have same minimum wage. Fuel is a basic necessity in Nigeria upon which other factors of production rely upon.

When you give SW such unfair advantage, you make other regions less viable and less productive relative to SW.

If this government want to favour only Yorubas against other Nigerians then he should be ready because Nigerians will collectively resist him!

you cant resist any thing. you are right sha nigeria use unified payment for petrol in all 37 states. well i believe fg will do something about it, but u know say na wetin subsidy dey cover too, normally sw supposed cheap because na there port dey, with this subsidy removal i dont even know what fg want to do...hmmmmmmmm

Why use otapiapia for one when you can exterminate 30k once like the Northerners did to them in the counter coup?

pls, don't give people wrong impression, because as the FG is handing off any expenses from that sector, who will pay for the transportation cost to other parts of the country, from Lagos where the fuel will be distributed to their various destinations ?

What wrong impression? You're defending this gross injustice because you're a yorubaman and you think it benefits you.

Minimum wage is uniform across Nigeria but fuel will be cheapest in SW?!

Do you know the multiplier effect of having fuel cheap in the SW and expensive in other parts of Nigeria? That extra 57 naira on each litre would amount to hundreds of billions lost in other parts of Nigeria, particularly NE. It will lead to further job losses in those regions. Lead to things being more expensive there than in SW. It will also lead to massive relocation of people from the disadvantaged states to the SW. Are you willing to accept that huge influx? Won't you guys start feeling insecure as you're already doing with Igbos and Hausas?

You can't pay same minimum wage and sell fuel cheaper in SW. Never!

Peter Obi will cow at the end if he had implemented it. He would have rushed back to reverse it like Jonathan because he dosen’t have that balls.

If they do small protest in Lagos and threaten him, he will come crying on TV reversing his decision.

I always look at people that blame Tinubu for Jonathan weakness. Opposition will always oppose, a strong government proceed with his plan of its very sure it’s for the greater good.

Jonathan is a very nice man but he is a weak president. He shouldn’t have caved in to the threats back then.

I had discussed something similar with a friend during the campaigns. I observed that Pandora is a big SIMP. That effeminate coward man is not fit for Nigeria. He will dance to the tune of IPOB terrorists. They will hold him by the blockos. Rather than face his hurdles in PDP like a man, he ran like a headless chicken. That "yes daddy" tape further confirmed my assertion.

That's why I love President Bola Tinubu.
Asiwaju is a man with balls, the real MVP. He will face whatever that comes his way headlong.
While I was watching the inauguration dinner where Remi and President Tinubu were dancing and he wasn't vibing with the music being played. He must have signal to his aides to bring in KWAM1. That's an Alpha Male action. I love that act. Our president is not a SIMP.

Lets just say i am talking above your brain capacity, if not you won't miss the point

SS produces cruel oil which is not consumable until its refined, all refined fuel lands in Lagos and are distributed from Lagos depot .. cost of transportation to various state varies hence the variation in fuel prices across Nigeria, common sense should tell you why its cheaper in Lagos now cheesy olodo simple analogy o gbe gba gii

IF south south produces fuel ready for consumption plus depots.. fuel will be cheaper in SS more than any place in Nigeria .. olodo rabata

This thread sadly shows the quality of Nigerian education and lack of Critical thinking skills.

How can someone rebut that crude oil is found in SS therefore should be cheaper there when told that the disparity in cost is due to logistics from Lagos ports?

Another person said Tinubu is doing wealth transfer to the SW;

First, Tinubu just resumed office less than 48hrs ago
Second, he doesn't set the price for NNPC either the new or old.

Take your Grievance to Buhari who knew that the innermost part of the North paid N10/l more than Lagos and kept quiet.

It is well o undecided

It’s because SW is closer to the port.

President Tinubu should now urgently address the nation and let us know what modalities is in place to help the masses adjust by to this and what benefit they will derive from this Subsidy removal

People need to start feeling the impact of the help from FG ASAP.

There is no need to rush and any assistance should be limited in size. May be, allocation of new mass transit buses to States.

Otherwise the so-called assistance becomes another form of subsidy that the Federal government can't get out from.

The communist idea of distributing borrowed money to people as palliative must be avoided.

Simply because we import petrol into Nigeria through the Lagos port and not any other port.

Unless we have other private citizen who can use other port across the country to import fuel, the fuel in lagos will be cheaper.

Let them use other port to import fuel if the provision for storage are available then you'll see how cheaper that state fuel will bcom
