The one of Abia was so criticized that T.A Orji panicked and reversed it ASAP.
He foo.lishly thought that Ndi Abia would support him, but he got a serious backlash.

The one of Enugu happened under military era. Some greedy Enugu civil servants instigated it and because it was military era,there was not much the people could do.

It was selfish politicians from her husband senatorial zone that did that and they were criticized by Ndiigbo in general.

When Okonjo Iweala was finance minister under GEJ, some greedy Abia politicians who wanted the minister slot for themselves and their coven, started trying to instigate Ndi Abia against Okonjo Iweala, saying that since she is from Delta that she shouldn't be taking Abia ministerial slot just because her husband is from Abia.
Ofcourse they were roundly condemned again by Ndiigbo including those from Abia.

Problem here is not what greedy politicians and civil servants do or plan doing, question is what was the General public response to it?
