He is acting, possibly,he is the most senior of the Deputy Governors (I can't say)..

But we need a proper Economist ...not a banker, as most bankers do not understand rudiments of economics..most study other courses and found themselves in banking...having long years of banking experience is not enough to know the rudiments of economics.

So, we need a proper, thorough bred Economics to head CBN....not accidental bankers

We do not need a Soludo-type in my opinion. We need a principled and fearless man for the sordid state our monetary affairs is in.

We are broke. Naira is so badly devalued now, deliberately, against the major currencies of the world making it very difficult for Nigerians and Nigeria to engage in the hugely valuable sector of international trading and business.

This was deliberate sabotage caused by our own fellow Nigerians too who are raking in billions. Those characters, the forex mafia and cartels, will fight to protect their empire.

As marketers are currently fighting subsidy removal desperately, vested interest will also fight a CBN Governor tasked with helping Tinubu destroy the harmful dual exchange rate (official and black market) that has become standard and accepted as part of the Nigerian monetary policy.

Totally disgraceful to Nigeria is the fact that black market rate is the default rate everyone has to use as forex from bank is virtually impossible to access because of corruption. We are in a huge and self-destructive mess.

Nigeria therefore needs an Elliot Ness/Ribadu sort who is a good economist. We don't need a genius economist who is a coward, not particularly principled and not able to withstand threats and intimidation .

Respect for reality is important. The Nigerian reality means we are in a period where everything has to be torn down and built from scratch.

For that stage in a nations development you convene brave pioneers everywhere, who don't mind getting their hands dirty, and not those only used to working in Sweden or Canada-type sanity and will break down once corruption and vested interests start fighting back.

They are the ones that works in banks most. They always cracked all the shl test and so always top up with mba and IT to understand finance. Engineers always succeed in whatever they study because their course is very difficult than new one they learn
