Is it also part of highlighting voting patterns when u say : Edo Muslims are the most liberal muslims in the country and that they are sometimes irreligious ? How many Edo Muslims have u met to draw that conclusion ?

You see why I say u are making hasty and incorrect generalization ?

The funny thing in all of these is that Tinubu is one of the most liberal Muslims in Nigeria and he’s “Yoruba Mulim”
Edo Muslims will be liberal and enlightened Muslims for as long as edo is a pdp state. Let them move to apc and donj will immediately classify them as extremists

You know how it is.

First off....Every Nigerian are happy and wants Emefiele punished.

But in the article, you can see that LP were clearly criticizing them for doing that which they condemned during GEJ administration. How can you condemn something and then turn around to do the same thing? You are a two faced individual.

We all understands that subsidy needed to be removed...but the fact that the same Tinubu that orchestrated a protest against GEJ for the removal announced it on his inauguration day, made him a two faced devil, who only had an ulterior motive all along.

They are abusing the same power they criticized GEJ for.
It still doesn't make any sense to condemn the suspension of Emefiele, who is being investigated and him holding on, might stall the investigation. Besides, he was suspended and not removed, so don't compare apples and oranges.

One can start smelling foul in the condemnation, as LP might have enjoyed from the embattled man's largesse in recent times. Accounts linked with LP and her top members should be investigated by security agencies.

Airmark, reading this article you posted, one can see that the problem the LP is highlighting here isn't that they are against emefiele being removed, but the PROCESS via which he's been removed and then pointing out the hypocritical side of these actors especially the speaker gbajamiamila who is currently defying the constitution by holding 2 concurrent offices. LP is essentially pointing out their hypocritical stances and then their abdication of the rule of law. The CBN is supposed to be an independent body, one which the president can't just wake up and sack as he wishes to.

Please be objective in your criticism. Read this excerpt very well and understand the point being made. I see nothing wrong here.
Emefiele was suspended and not removed, because of ongoing investigation. So find another excuse to back the suspicious LP's shameful defence.

Airmark wants a lawless country but what’s good for the goose is also good for Uganda.

We all happy Emefiele was sacked but there should also be a due process before we enter another Buhari type regime of not obeying court orders.
Emefiele wasn't sacked, don't be in a haste to criticize a good move. And, i don't want a lawless country, stop that nonsense.

We know most of you, lowkey, were unhappy that Emefiele was suspended by the man y'all hate, Tinubu.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 8:54am On Jun 12, 2023
In 2002/3 a friend who wanted to japa told me people were procuring SA passports. You dropped money and you got a passport. This made it easier to get a UK or us visa. I advised him against it. A few months later I read that some Nigerians had been arrested in a sting operation and labeled as terrorists. It turned out that Al aqaeda operatives had also been procuring SA passports using the same process. So everyone caught was simply assumed to be an al quaeda operative

I suspect the same applies to our emeifele. A lot of money laundering processes are also used by terrorist and criminal networks. So if you use these and get caught you are summarily tarred with the terrorist tag. It is not as if at this point you can say well actually I was only stealing money for myself not to aid a terrorist group

Just a theory.

What you saying is opposition should not oppose… It won’t still stop the suspension but that’s the importance of democracy.

Even in western countries, good deeds by the government are also criticised by the opposition and you of all people should know that.

All these your we know you people and hate Tinubu shiit no concern me… You are an emotion nigga and will always resort to that 😵‍💫😵‍💫

I am not saying ur theory is right as regards Emefiele but u made A very good point about people being tagged summarily for some issues they sometimes don’t know about .

That’s why even in business cycle u are advised to get KYC on ur customers and do due diligence in case such customer name pops up in anti-terrorism/money laundering investigation . If u are unable to prove u had a legal dealing with that person and it was observed u had a financial dealing with the person, u are automatically a person of interest too.

The man Emefiele don too do round tripping and it will be a miracle if he has not approved funds that got into the wrong hands .

Maybe airmark should listen to Tinubu’s recent speech on Democracy…. Government do and you no like… you’re free to talk but it doesn’t mean government need to listen.
Thankfully and hopefully, we won’t see people getting arrested for speaking like the previous administration.

Opposition can oppose but shouldn't do it ignorantly or foolishly. LP is showing her filthy hands too early, as not being a better option to APC at the federal level.

Nigerians fortunately dodged a bullet, by not having them in Aso rock.

No sane person/party, will condemn the suspension of Emefiele.

Like I said, LP just doing what APC did in the past but they don’t have the power or personnel to stop anything… So I wonder why that’s a topic for discussion.

Emefelie is not coming back but due process must stil be followed… This is not Buhari’s regime

I'm reading "art of thinking clearly" by Dobeli and I'm on number 12, this excerpt exposeswhat our politicians keep doing

Suppose you're the president of a country and have no idea how to run it. What do you do? You predict “difficult years” ahead, ask your citizens to“tighten their belts,” and then promise to improve the situation only after this “delicate stage” of “cleansing,” “purification,” and “restructuring.” Naturally you leave the duration and severity of the period open.

In conclusion: If someone says, “It’ll get worse before it gets better,”you should hear alarm bells ringing.

LP didn't do what APC did in the past. Stop it.

LP stupidly quoted Gbaja's view on a sack, while they came out as a party to condemn the suspension of someone that brought tears to many homes, and under investigation. Stop defending nonsense.

The point is, Labour party is not for the interests of the populace. A big scam.

It's extremely rare to encounter an obidient Yoruba Muslim because the cognitive bias would be extremely strong and most likely effect his judgement.

Alas, Edo\benin Muslims are the most liberal moslems in this country. They're almost largely irreligious sef.
What a load of rubbish.

30 years ago today, my primary school close to Ikeja Cantonment was tear gassed, accidentally or intentionally. I was in Primary 1 and the canister landed just outside our window. We were wailing and screaming and our teacher told us to remove our shirt, piss on it, put it on our face, and head to the sickbay.

There were no mobile phones then, so it wasn't till around 2pm that parents started arriving in a panic to pick up their kids. My mum had myself, my brothers and 2 of our neighbours packed in her Volkswagen beetle, with leaves stuck to the front.

Between ikeja and bariga through anthony, there were groups of rioters burning tires on the road and smashing windshields every 2 kilometres. My eyes were swollen like I'd done 3 rounds against a pro boxer, and all of us were crying in the car as my mother begged from checkpoint to checkpoint for them not to smash her glass.

Fvck Nigeria and Nigerians mehn. The best thing my parents ever did for me was to get me out of that country.

I am trying sooo hard to understand what the man meant there. undecided

What does he mean by "illegal court orders"? Who determines if the ruling by the court is legal or "illegal"?

I certainly hope this man is not trying to say that if the courts do sack his illegitimate government, that he wouldn't heed to the rulings. I keep saying it, we're witnessing the baby steps of authoritarianism with this man..

People who praised his dictatorship in Lagos are about to cry with how this man would sabotage all our institutions.
