This is in response to a thread about the official Igbo attire. Neither Isiagu nor Agbada is the official Igbo attire. Isiagu itself is a material but it also has a style which is a loose design that widens further down. Agbada is neither native to Igbo nor any ethnic group in Nigeria. Senator attire has evolved as the Igbo corporate attire. It is said to have been popularized by senator Anyim pius Anyim and evolved from the original loose Isiagu style. Check it out below being adorned by Igbo politicians and leaders.
