Security Operatives Intercepted LP Chieftain With INEC Materials And Money In Imo Joint security operatives have intercepted one Hon. Okafor Gabriel in possession of election materials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State. The commander of the joint force Insp. Ahmed Idris, said that the arrests were made following some intelligent tip-off. He stated that the arrest would serve as a stern warning that the security operatives meant business and would not hesitate to bring any culprit to book. The suspect, Mr. Hon. Okafor Gabriel, was caught with possession of the INEC Permanent Voter Cards, ballot papers as well as total sum of 183million naira. He was arrested around Anara in isiala mbano Local Government of Imo State. The suspect admitted that the materials were given to him on Friday night by a party member. The State Police boss said investigations would continue into the matter
