Nigeria had better start asking for and insisting that the role of the Legislature in superintending over the Executive be sacrosanct. This institution is just not working and this country is not being served in any way for the billions spent on it.

What is the use of a smoke alarm that only rings AFTER THE FACT, only sounding when the building is already raised to the ground time and again. Why are Nigerians satisfied with institutions that express as much surprise as them about incidents they should be out and ahead of.

If a building collapses the engineer is held to account. If a plane crashes the pilot is interrogated if he survives and if he does not they still want to hear what transpired in the cockpit. Why are we satisfied with not holding the Legislature to account when government fails under their watch.

Enough is enough. Say no to Executive/Legislative so called 'cooperation'. It is nothing but connivance. We cannot have players selecting referees. The only agreement between an umpire and a team is one of fair play. The Legislature must be independent and respected by the Executive for Nigeria to have a fair deal.

I watched Sirikas response on Arise tv and he said he taped the conversation so if Nnaji is sure he did not ask he should sue Sirika for libel to satisfy his constituents. In the video Sirika fully explained what happened in the Nigerian Air and I was convinced by his explanations. This Nnaji was just a corrupt fellow. In retrospect, I see Sirikas tenure as minister as the best period in the history of Aviation in this country - no major accident, no embarrassment by foreign countries, no unnecessary dramas. There was unprecedented aircraft safety during his tenure is a big plus to him especially under Buhari when everybody failed I can't forget those crashes of past like Sosoliso, Belview, Dana crashes. Thumbs up for Hadi Sirika.

When a Chief of Army plane crash, does that sound ordinary to you? Besides, do you want to compare that with commercial flight where 100s die like Sosoliso where several Secondary students died with Army helicopter crash which is maintain by the army itself. Can a civilian minister even regulate an army plane in Nigeria? Can Nepa cut light going into

You are simply an illiterate. What 85billion are you talking about? What is the total budget of ministry of Aviation? How much is left after paying workers salary which is recurrent. Didn't you hear him say the rental was sponsored by Ethiopian Airlines who happens to the the core investor in Nigeria Air with proposed 49% equity? If anybody will pay is it not the airline that will pay tax to government. If you want to condemn people, at least do it with intelligence. Hadi Sirika just flung a red herring to the wind. Only intelligent minds would be able to gauge the direction it is headed. His immanent peril hangs over his head like the sword of Damocles, and like a blind man drowning, there would be no sight to be used to look for a straw to cling on to. His fate would only be sealed if tribalism and nepotism are not called upon to play their cards at the table of Justice.
