In fact at the moment,all the 17 southern Governors are Christians,there is no Muslim Governor in any state of the south.,yet Muslims are not complaining

Yakowa did not win anything oo..he won as the deputy of Namadi sambo and when Jonathan picked sambo as vice yakowa automatically became the governor.
Though the Muslim north initially objected, Jonathan gave a Jonah Jang as a second choice and instead of them to allow Jang whom they haved with passion the settled for Sambo and hatched a plot to oust Yakowa to balance the equation.

the killing of former chief of defense shocked me, a minority christian in Adamawa state he was gunned down on his way to his farm up till today no one was arrested not even his security details., A whole 4 star General. The kiling in plateau state is also unimaginable expecially the BEROM People who has the largest retired Generals in Nigeria

It is comparing apples to oranges all over again! Christians and Muslims in SW states can afford to some extent ignore the religious factor because those states are entirely HOMOGENEOUS with the Yoruba ethnicity and identity binding all their peoples.

The situation in some places in the North and the the Middle Belt is entirely different. For instance there were aboriginal or the authentic natives with their unique languages living in those places who have settled and lived there for hundreds and thousands of years ever before the Hausas, Fulanis or Kanuris started to migrate there for trade etc., When these natives chose to become Christians during the colonial era--it further solidified their separate identity from the visiting Mohammedans.

The Christian areas of the Middle Belt are not homogeneous. Just like Lagos State trying to protect its authentic indigenous groups from others they see as encroachers...the same way the Christian Middle Belt sees the Hausas and their Fulani allies as complete strangers.

2) Eeryone in the middlebelt is authentic tribe and the Hausas have been living in the middle belt for over 400 years same as their Christian brothers.

3) Only an extremely DUMB and ignorant and/or malicious person will claim that Hausas and their Christian brothers see themselves as complete strangers while these same people are from the same ancestral stock of Bayajida. Asside from that, these people have been living together and inter marrying for over 500 years.
