In the early morning, Pro Senator Godswill Akpabio's fellow senators were observed donning their attire, ready to cast their votes in favor of his election as Senate President, reminiscent of the popular saying "once bitten, twice shy."

Their unusually prompt arrival today seemingly aimed to prevent a recurrence of the unexpected turn of events that took place during the 2015 Saraki episode.

On a different note, it is worth mentioning that the entrance gate to the National Assembly remains locked. A multitude of supporters and members can be seen outside, still unable to enter the main building as of the time this report was being filed.
