1. Vocational skills will be embraced more.
This is easy to understand as no one will be in a rush to take a long-term loan with no guaranty of repayment means when a surer and shorter way is dangling at their face. Simply learn a trade that sells and start making what will meet the needs of others.

2. Expect more rejection of some programs.
Before people apply to some programs more and get offered something else. Expect that to change as your school won't repay the loan for you and so you have to insist on what you believe in a your course of study.

3. Less socially conscious campus life.
As a result of the repayment ahead, expect student to put their time to better use than cultism and social engagements. More skill acquisition gatherings and centres will emerge on campus.

4. More Emphasis on international certifications.
There will be more emphasy on international certifications to support the certificate issued to graduates by schools because once the student start paying higher than what it cost to get certified by vendors and realize the reach of the intl certificates, they will embrace them naturally.

5. Less populated lecture halls and emphasis on buying of materials.
This one is easier to imagine. Overcrowded halls means someone isn't putting the huge fees of students to efficient use.

6. More time for research.
As lecturers mark fewer scripts and appraise fewer students, research will get more attention from schools as that's a sure way to improve school reputation and justify the huge loans and fees.

7. Higher conversion of academic papers into real life uses.
Why go through the stress of first degree, second degree and research before I realize I can take research papers, read them and apply them for better business result?

8. Better grades and breaking of first class jinx.
As students pay more and face the huge burden of repayment, expect them to question the wisdom behind trying to interpret failure as a sign of high standard and not success in form of high rate of knowledge transfer.
No professor of Agriculture feeds on yam diagram, they all prefer pounded yam to yam diagram though they make you draw it.

9. Less discrimination against private school graduates.
As everyone becomes conscious of the millions(of Naira) they have been enjoying for free and the sudden burden of repayment upon them, the discrimination against private school graduates will naturally disappear. The poorer the learning conditions of your school are, all other things equal, the more shame it means for you.

10. Emergence of smaller institutions offering fewer technical courses of study.
The idea of having a certificate will change drastically because what you hope to get from professors in some technical fields in polytechnics and universities will be available for less in sime institutes around.

Basically, the loan will make students more responsible? I must agree, since most wouldn't take loans for what they see no benefit in.

This is a going to effect a psychological change. Instead of going to burn their parent's money, students will be burning their own future earnings, so would likely choose more wisely how they burn it.

Students will also better hold the school to account for what it is they are paying for, which would increase the quality of the education they receive. And if lecturer strikes add to the cost of the loan, God help that lecturer (provided the lecturers are adequately compensated for their service, of course).

Govt don't create or provide jobs directly but create conducive environment for production to thrive and thus indirectly create employment.
