Part of the agreement is technology transfer. The Chinese will employ the unskilled indigenes in the various factories in the free trade zone and train them in the technology of how to produce detergents, bag and box making, shoes production, iron smeltering, and various other items.
That concessions gives the Chinese all the land where they are presently based down to the Igbesa River. The concessions also allows them to construct a mini port for exportation of products to the Lagos end.
It is a terrible agreement.
The company will continue to expand untill the take over half of Igbesa land.
Lack of Native Intelligence. Artificial progress

If not for the Chinese the lands will be worth next to nothing. The Chinese bought the lands and drove the value up, that is why they even have mouth to be crying for land. Shebi them get JuJu there, make them use am on top of the Chinese na.

I know about this place. The lands were sold legitimately

Yorubaland doesn't have good leaders. All they know how to do is trade off large portion of land for peanuts to foreigners without any strings like knowledge transfer attached. They think IGR is everything. Collecting IGR while unemployment and poverty remains an economic issue is simply funny. It makes more economic sense for the masses to champion development as in the east.
The type of education these people received in SW needs serious questioning

I know this area very well. The Chinese companies bought hundreds of acres of lands from the village heads many years ago with C of O and only operate on a portion of it. Many indigenes who are not aware that their parents sold the lands (or it's entirety) still parade themselves as the owner.
Trust Awori at your own peril, those people can sell land more than 40times. Once the money they collected for a particular land finish they will want to sell same land again.

Oga come to my place and see your people selling Agbo..infact the population of Agbo sellers can fill an entire local govt.
We leave to other places cos it's our nature to do businesses anywhere we can not that your flood ravaged hamlets with red roofs are anything better than the smallest village in the east.
Your.people travel out to other states as parasites, you contribute nothing, you give nothing, only Agbo sellers, archac mechanics and tathered looking fellows driving jallopies they call Taxi...notting more.
Well, those people are there to meet a need that your fellow Igbos CAN NEVER meet. Whether you like it or not, they are cashing out and doing great things back home.

And they are the only sort of Yorubas you can find in the yeast - artisans and traditional medicine practitioners tongue

Other than they, Yorubas have no business in the barren unproductive land cool

But your people flood the SW for the peaceful, calm, bubbly and sweet life that goes beyond sparcely situated storey buildings in a dull hostile environment that is obtainable in the villages in the yeast except for holidays cheesy

What sort of agreement is this for Christ's sake. Why would the then govt do that? It's sounding very terrible like you stated.

Will the Chinese even keep to their end of the so called agreement?

How many indigenes have they even employed as at now?

We're the indigenes even compensated u the govt or the CHINESE?

Did the Chinese pay for the land or govt compensated them or was it just conceded to them? It's an important factor.

If it's the whole expanse that you are saying down to igbesa river then it's really terrible, what will the indigenes have left?

Blame the African man that doesn't think of tomorrow.

A reasonable country plans ahead for their future generations. If they see their country lacks in an area, they don't mind going to another country to get that resource for their country.
Look at all the peacekeeping missions we went for, we came back empty meanwhile the white countries stayed to enjoy the resources available for the benefit of their country. We just don't have leaders that think far or maybe they deliberately want to keep a greater part of the population poor and ignorant.

Chinese company in Ado-Odo/Ota local government has been forcefully and illegally annexing 13 villages in Ogun state, with villagers and farmers crying for help. A former village headmaster named Mr. Solomon Gbadebo Ajose have come online to solicit for help from good minded Nigerians. He also accused the area commander of Agbara Area command in Ogun State of conniving with the Chinese and also attempting to kill him.

Reactions have been pouring in on why will a Police officer saddled with the responsibility of protecting the citizens collaborate with a foreign to take over lands.

Authorities must look into this.

Your fathers sold your ancestral lands to attend Owanbe parties and spray money to Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey & Shina Peter, you grow up, instead of you to hustle and know if you can buy the lands back, you sold the remaining one and relocate to Sango, Ikorodu and other suburbs and spray the rest to Wasiu Ayinde, Pasuma Wonder and Small Doctor. Now the buyers of your lands are expanding and consolidating, you begin to cry like babies and start constituting go back to your land nuisance. Oga we are in the lands that we bought from you and will live comfortable on it because we pay you completely and even pay extra while building. You sold your lands and still wants to be landlord, no way. Oga stop crying because you can never eat your cake and have it

They shud cry to tinubu instead, he might help them

Multistorey appartments is a sign of strong upper middle class. Your artificial industrialization only create shanties and make people poorer. Chinese factory workers earn less than the gala sellers you mock. Tax is never a sign of economic progress. GDP per capita is the real deal

Hahaha, how tribalism is using human brain to do wotowoto, their politicians, who confused their people with tribalism, to get to power, granted the the c/o for the people land to be sold, whenever the people complain, they'll keep them busy with hatred on their fellow suffering Nigerians, especially the ibos, they'll tell them, ibos are your problem, today, their land have been sold to the Chinese by these same leaders

How does this happen when everything is signed and filed with the state. I really think certain people have a reading disability sometimes. Even on this thread 99 year lease isn't understood to mean the Land belongs to the state government.
