Jubilation As Orji Kalu Shares 5000 Bags of Rice, Cash to 13 Villages In Igbere For New Year Celebration.

Shortly after concluding Igbere cultural festival which was a huge success, the former Abia Governor, Orji Kalu has again done his annual convention of giving assorted food stuff and cash donations to his kinsmen and several other communities.

This time it was 5,000 bags of rice and cash sum of 400,000 each he gave to 13 autonomous communities, which are Agbo, Eziama, Amakpo, Amaukwu, Ibinanta, Amaofufe, Ibinukwu, Umusi, Okafia, Ohumola, Amaoji, Amaiyi and Amankalu that make up Igbere in Bende LGA of Abia state.

While giving them these items and cash, the famous and popular law maker, Orji Kalu, opined that this show of love and kindness started way back in 1986 before he got into politics. He said God has blessed him to be a source blessing to others.

Still addressing the mammoth crowd that stormed his Camp Neya residence on appointment by 9:30 am on Saturday, 6th January, 2024, the former Chief Whip of the 9th Senate, thanked the people for coming out en masse and in time to collect these gifts. He said, the sharing of thousands of bag of rice will continue tomorrow for other communities in Abia North, for that reason, he wanted Igbere to be the first village that will benefit from the distribution.

The Former Chairman of the SUN publishing company, Orji Kalu told the people that the 300 bags of rice for each autonomous and cash prize was them alone, that the Igwes (Village heads) were not included to partake in the sharing formula. He said he has Igwe's packages separate from what he is giving the 13 villages that make up Igbere.

Orji Kalu who was in high spirit, admonished the people to be their brothers keeper and to be good ambassadors of Igbere, Igbo land and Nigeria . He said his magnanimity is not tailored towards politics or for optics, but to help reduce economic hardship facing the people and to also help Federal Government distribute agricultural palliative which will go a long way in reducing depression and so much pressure on the part of bread winners of many families in this dire time.

Reacting to the kind gesture shown them by the law maker, some of the villagers spoke to our correspondents who were on ground to report their pulse on how they felt, Mercy and Otua who spoke on behalf other locals, said they were highly elated and filled with so much joy for the palliative and cash the Distinguished Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District gave them to celebrate New Year.

They unanimously asked God to bless and continue to keep the His Excellency, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu who has consistently remembered them every new year for the past 38 years even when he wasn't in government. The locals said he is the best Senator from South east who has shown capacity and is very close and in tune with his constituents.

You will recall the Chairman Senate Committee on Privatization, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu via his foundation previously shared 1 million Naira to the winners of Igbere cultural festival, 700,000 Naira to the runners up and 500,000 to the village that came third.

Someone representing a whole senatorial zone is sharing 5,000 bags of rice to his village people alone. This is why Benjamin Kalu would have made a better replacement to him at that level because his Bende federal constituency feels his impact more.

You obviously have reading and comprehension problem. This is just for 13 villages in igbere. He also gave cash gift. The whole senatorial district will happen tomorrow.

Igbere erupted in cheers as Senator Orji Kalu showered his hometown with 5,000 bags of rice and cash! This annual tradition, rooted in Kalu's pre-political generosity, warmed hearts and filled bellies. Beyond the bounty, his call for unity and ambassadorship resonated deeply. Igbere couldn't be prouder of their Senator, a true champion who walks the talk, year after year.
God bless you Sir

A useless criminal is sharing part of funds stolen from his Constituency and you call it kind heartedness?

A main component of a thieving cabal that have stolen the people of Nigeria dry and left them in penury.

Look and him and Lawan and see how fat and plumpy they look after feeding fat on public resources for years while the common Nigeria is dying in his own country. And you praise him for a bag of rice?

Many of you in Nigeria deserve hanging.

Nigeria politicians will not give loans to the generality of the masses at random, for business (except their top facilitators on rigging of elections), or teach them handwork, and properly equip them when they complete the training or fully equip their schools, that's, if any are available, for proper education, they will not put Infrastructure in place to make living easier for them in making their various means of livelihood easier. They use hunger as a tool to keep the already poor masses in line with their selfish pursuits for both the present and future, hence when food is shared to them, its like they are already in Heaven.the greedy politicians become god
