Is gas now sold in litre rather than in kg's?

My concern is the anyhowness culture with Nigerians. CNG/LPG is more dangerous and volatile than petrol.
they will start cutting corners now and putting terrible tanks in cars to save cost.

Then cars will start exploding on the road.
They won't just kill themselves only, but they will take other people with them.

Stop the envy, hate & jealousy. an Igbo man is not your problems. What an average Igbo man want is a progressive govt that cares for all irrespective of party affiliation & considerations.
So IPMAN and even Biodun Lawal are Igbos? Let's stop this tribalism thing and see ourselves as one indivisible nation.

CNG will give dangote a very big competition
If the government doesn't fight it because of the population that will move to that source of energy

Let me use the current scenario on Cooking gas.

When they told us that they removed subsidy on cooking gas, the price stated moving up. We questioned the rationale behind the price moving up to almost 950 per kg, when they couldn't find answers, they blamed the Dollar to Naira exchange rate. That Dollar rate is high

Now Dollar rate is still high, but cooking gas price is coming down to 600 per kg. What is the explanation now

This is what is happening in fuel. They jack up the fuel pump price and blame it on subsidy removal
I get your point but from what you have said....how much do you think the ideal fuel pump price should be with the removal using global rates

Be deceiving urself. Tinubu needs to recoup the monies he spent for the election and there is a lot of debt to service. . be really deceiving urself. .

Warri mumu... Not everyone is fooled by your 'Igbo this, igbo that' syndrome...

So we should appreciate Chinedu that brought that initiative but we should not appreciate Tinubu that made that decision to remove subsidy in the first place?
Appreciate Tinubu for what? For inflicting hardship without alternative? We should appreciate Chinedu for giving us cheaper alternative where government failed. Igbos don't need in politics to make impact.

The problem of the black man is the black man. We’re an oil producing nation with an abundance of natural resources, yet live poorer lives than nations without resources! We live in water but are dying of thirst! Some have food but cannot eat, all Nigerians in Nigeria are in this category. If you were expecting PMS prices to come down anytime soon, they just removed the phantom subsidy so they could handover the monopoly of fuel importation to Mr. Dangite! Dude never crashes prices, his monopoly only serves to drive prices up! Cement in Ghana is GHC 35.50 which is roughly equivalent to N1500, while in Nigeria were it is produced it is sold for N4200! Better fasten your seatbelts, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride for all! undecided
northerners are smarter than southerners. If not I don’t see how they are getting away with this scam.

It seems you are already high on your own supply.. Didn't you state that you know IPMAN is a body of independent petroleum marketers..? So have you forgotten so soon that Chinedu is just a mouthpiece of the organization?

So how do you ascribe the success or failure of the organization to the tribe that he is from?

I know a lot of you guys have been mentally tuned to always see negativity in every positive thing that you can see.

But don't allow it to consume you, brother!

Interesting, my question is where does dangote refinery comes in, will it also tap into the cng potentials too? And what will be the fate of pms, it most vehicles and machines are converted to use cng, what other purposes will pms be meant for?

I mentioned Biodun Lawal in case you might be thinking that IPMAN is all about Igbos. The CNG project is spearheaded by IPMAN, Okonkwo is involved only because he's the national president. Tribalism wouldn't let you see that. You're giving the glory to Igbo simply because the president is Igbo. Who would take the glory if the president had been Hausa? IPMAN comprises stakeholders from every tribe in Nigeria. Do not be tribalistic. Let's unite and shun tribal bigotry.

Anything for the good of Nigeria is welcome. Only if they won't loot the money meant for subsidy.
There is this constant theme that government shouldn't loot the money being made from subsidy removal.

I think it should be made clear that there is no actual savings from subsidy removal, since we were borrowing to 'afford' it.

With subsidy removal, what it means is that if we were borrowing N10trln as a nation, maybe we can then reduce borrowing to N2trlnbwjicj helps out deficit levels. The idea is not to continue borrowing N10trln even after subsidy is removed.

Are you really asking these questions. How do you forsee a situation where even 10% of vehicles on Nigerian roads are converted to CNG in 5 years? So wouldn't the remaining 90% still use their petrol ND diesel? Recall it ain't free to convert to CNG.

Besides the analysis of CNG costing N100per litre is faulty cos it doesn't follow that 1litre of CNG provides the exact engine efficiency of 1litre of petrol.

CNG filling stations would have been made available before the removal of subsidy, this is pure medicine after death.
The City of Benin was used as a pilot scheme to test run the efficiency of CNG by either Yaradua or Jonathan government "I can't remember", about six of the filling stations were established in Benin City, they still run till date but it was never replicated elsewhere as planned.
Fewer vehicles use CNG in Benin because of the absence of the stations outside the city. Many vehicles would have been converted from PMS to CNG but that would mean they may never be used outside Benin which discouraged many intended users.
Government knows exactly what to do to get things right but policy summersault has become the order of the day with successive government.
our filling station can dispense CNG, just to add its tank. Some filling station dispenses LPG, CNG ,AGO and even petrol so this is not an excuse at all.

In two years, I expect Car conversion to CNG to be rapid all around

Come and tell us how Biodun was also responsible for Innoson CNG vehicles. All the government institutions filled with yorubas and Hausa can't come up with anything innovative. Independent body headed by Igbo lead the way and you still want to drag.
