Obasa deserves no attention as he is just being a foolish lawmaker. Except their laws become superior to that of Nigeria, Section 42 of the 1999 constitution already ensured no one will be treated unjustly or in isolation by virtue of their state of origin. It's surprising how a supposed lawmaker missed all of that.

Blame the sellouts like Marcaroni, Chinedu Rhodes-Vivour and likes with polluted bloodlines.

Bayo Onanuga said it already that 2023 will be the last year Igbos will ever interfere in Lagos politics and so shall it be.

I'm a property owner in Lagos. Just received a bill for Land Use Charge in hundreds of thousands after they failed to process any of it for the past 5/6 years. Before then, I pay this every year. I also pay my income taxes in the two firms I work with.

You? What's your contribution to Lagos State since you were born?

Nope, The rate at which non indigene troop in to Lagos. Indigene are looking scanty and barely benefiting from the home of their ancestors. Regardless, Lagos natives happen to be one of the most liberal educated and rich family.
so they don't care much. no one will know otedola, folorunsho alakija asisat oshoala, david hudenyin and many more are successful Lagos natives. But we need to start caring more for our less privilege natives from onset.

The most painful in this nonsense article is "As a legal head he is supposed to enact laws that would protect and unite us instead"

The bolded is where I have problems with you, OP can you explain further to unite who and you together?

Yoruba are not interested in any unity with Igbo, We can't harbour enemy within us, it's very dangerous.

You people don't know it's just because of Nigeria constitution that says every Nigeria can live anywhere within the country that's protecting you people, if not you will have been declared unwanted in all Yoruba States.

Hosting an enemy in our midst is very dangerous for our life

Democracy they say is the government of the people, by the people and for the people irrespective of their tribes, religion and culture.

But for Obasa, the reverse seems to be the case as he continues to victimise those he felt are not in line or support his political ideology according to the Ceo Equity Concepts Rowland Okorie who lashed out at the Rt. honourable.

Someone should remind the speaker we are in 2023 not slavery era.Never been recorded in history where an igbo man is claiming ownership of Lagos he stated.

According to Rowland, Obasa stated this in his acceptance speech as a third-term speaker of the Lagos parliament and the inauguration of the 10th Lagos assembly on Tuesday that Lagos state parliament will pass new property, and business ownership laws in the state due to ethno-political and religious division that happened during the last 2023 general elections.

On different occasions I have called him to condemn MC Olumo for his heinous act to a tribe he always choose to turn blind eyes to the truth.

In the presidential and governorship elections, particularly, many Igbos supported the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the LP for the state governorship election respectively.

In his words, he said "In my opinion I think Obasa should step down as the speaker because he has already proven that he is not a healer, he has no respect for the rule of law nor for our great investors from around the world and the entire Nigerian people. As a legal head he is supposed to enact laws that would protect and unite us instead the newly elected 3rd term speaker of House of Rep Lagos Hon Idowu Obasa proposed enacting discriminatory laws with potentials of converting all properties belonging to the non indigenous to indigenous."

Rowland Okorie calls it a dangerous move that reminds the igbos about the abandoned properties tagged to properties belonging to igbos after the civil war. Igbos should really wake up. This move is dangerous and unacceptable.

Members of his cabinet should have proposed several youth empowerment programs that would create jobs and generate millions of naira for the country and the state, but he rather went this way and never attended any. In my thoughts one condition for the 3rd time in a row for Obasa speakers was agreeing to enact a law that would discriminate against the igbos.

"Sometimes when you look at every move by men in the position of power it feels like there is a war against the Igbos. The 2023 elections really went further to expose how dangerous the hate against a tribe could lead to division of the whole nation. Obasa never condemned Mc Olomo after he threatened to kill Igbos. If we must live in peace we must follow great examples of powerful nations like America. The speaker of the House of Rep in Dallas Texas was suspended and impeached or even great Kenya." Ex-president is indicted and all we do is sit and watch our leaders commit crime in our very face.

"It is time investors look towards the eastern part of the nation especially the Igbo states Abia, Anambra. Ebonyin ,Enugu and Imo for more investment opportunities. The people's house has turned into a tribal field. I'm calling on all Igbos to stop buying lands and building massive structures in Lagos while I condemn the Obasa Speakership. Lagos investors should channel their investments toward the eastern.

Okorie, go preach that in SE. Tell your States of Assemblies in Iboland to protect Ebonyi person that was denied property rights in Anambra, or the widower that was evicted, along with her children, from her husband house so the brother in laws can take ownership. Go tell your people in Imo to allow osu rights to own property.

Bloody efulefu, a foreign refugee in the land of Yorubas.

It's becoming unbecoming .

Very sad and pathetic to say the least on how these cretins have come to see Lagos as their own patrimony .

This Lagos dragging has exposed Igbos to other nationalities as hostile migrants seeking to convert the land of their hosts to theirs.

But by far the most shameful thing about all this rubbish is how Igbos have no where else including their cursed region to thrive and live in peace.

The truth is, it's not only Yorubas that are taken aback by this Igbo stupidity and affontry in dragging Lagos with Yorubas.

Every other southern tribe is watching and taking notes.

The Igbo forgot that nothing is done in a vacuum and others are taking serious notes.

This Igbo rejection is not only going to be restricted to the SW but in every where else in the SS.

Already Asaba people are regretting selling their lands to Igbo people just from seeing how Igbos are dragging Lagos ownership and rule with Yorubas

They don't know it yet but they will soon find out the hard way that Igbos are getting a bad rep from every other nationality in the south.

Constitution kill you there.

The constitution permits you to wander aimlessly like your Fulani cousins but doesn't give you the right to drag ownership with indigenes.

I heard one Delta guy on Nairaland saying Ebows are already calling Asaba Ebowland or no man's land. Yoruba's approach is always systematic and legal. Because we're clever like that. But, I fear that other Southerners will use deadly force on them soon. They don't have time for legal creativity.
