That’s quite impressive especially in the faculty law. LASU’s law Faculty has been one of the best in Nigeria for awhile now they’ve churned out brilliant legal minds.
It should be the school or her faculty that’s awarding her the 500k,I believe the governor and other prominent and wealthy individuals affiliated and associated with the school and the state at large would offer her scholarships and cash gifts too financial institutions and private organizations,multinationals might offer her sponsorships.

Some of the banks that conduct their business in the school do award cash gifts to the best graduating students of some departments

Calm down, she graduating with a perfect GPA is her personal achievement, the university nor anyone owes her nothing, meanwhile BBA is a competition people enter twith a prize for the winner, you may argue all you want about value system, that's another topic but have u asked where the 500k she is getting is coming from, compare that to all the sponsors that will put their money on the BBN for examples, the viewership, the subscription money etc.

I think it’s a combination of a number of factors,most especially the quality lecturers and professors the faculty possess, also the crop of students in LASU’s law faculty are quite brilliant,you had hardly find below average students academically in large numbers in the faculty.

Also,they have got a robust curriculum and well structured and relevant updated courses which are quite rigorous. They’re quite thorough with their teaching too so the students have to adopt the same method with their learning or you simply won’t able to cut it,so I personally believe that’s a recipe for academic excellence.

As regards why the professors decided to pitch their tent with Lasu instead of say Unilag,i think they would be in the best position to answer that. 😂

He did not say it is impossible in sciences. He stated it is harder in humanities programs, so anyone who achieves it should be rated higher than the STEM individual. It is easier to make a first class in Chemistry than Law, anytime, any day and anywhere.

Like I said once again, it depends on your perspective. Till date, no one in the history of my department has had a CGPA better than 4.90, a record that was made about 3 years ago. I'd say it's damn near impossible if not impossible to graduate with a 5.0 CGPA in my department. I know what I'm saying bro, I'm talking from experience. The argument I was contesting with wasn't actually about having a first class, but about graduating with a 5.0 CGPA.

Making a first class in ANY ENGINEERING course is easier than, say, History or Law or Sociology.

Is this playing?? well, everyone knows their strength and weaknesses, someone who's not good in calculation can't make first class in science courses, but someone who's good in calculation can easily make first class in art courses...

Yea sure...most lecturers in Nigerian university are saddists who likes failing or bringing down students GP on purpose, during my year 3 those days, they started sharing D and E like palliatives purposely to reduce the number of potential first class students...
